Cone Snail
An old venomous OC redesign I've been holding from sharing!🌊🦪 I was thinking "Venera" for the name, since I never named them before!
Please show the cone snail. Have to see him. Have to see
Sure, I'll do the whole family!
Have you seen a cone snail (Family: Conidae)?
I have now
Yes, in photos/videos
Yes, irl
I'm not sure
There are two species of cone snail, the geography cone and the tulip cone (not pictured here), which use insulin as a weapon.
As of 2015 this family contained more than 800 species.
someone explain to me why i had a dream last night about andy samberg and brian murphy from dropout arguing about what actually kills you if you get stung by a geographer cone snail. dream andy samberg kept insisting that it was bacterial infection from the germs on the snail's radula, given that it "eats fish and shit in the ocean," but brian murphy kept calling him an idiot for discounting the venom, which "kills you way faster than a bacteria ever could"
oh, and paul robalino was also there
im feeling like
