“This pain persists, I can’t resist
But that’s what it takes to be INFINITE!”
Two transparent versions under the cut.
Kit’s powers
Since I knew about Kit’s powers I have been thinking about them. There’s not a lot of things we know about faerie magic, even the Codex says it is the great unknown and unique in the world.
There are two things I want to talk about:
Kit said the horses were winked out of existence between one breath and the next, but is it really true?
I don’t think he really made them erased from existence. Waiting for The Red Scrolls of Magic, I started reading the Codex and I read something that surprised me. On page 167, in the section CONJURING OBJECTS FRON NOWHERE, it talks about how warlocks cannot create something from nowhere, they teleport objects. Maybe it’s this what Kit did, right? Just moving the horses out of place. But, on the page 195-196, on the DIMENSIONAL MAGIC, it explains that this is a very rare magic. It’s said warlocks can create dimensional “pockets” (small spaces between dimensions) where objects or people may be hidden and kept concealed from tracking magic.
Yes, it’s possible Kit just moved the houses to another place, but then why in the Markets people started talking about a very powerful warlock who made the horses of the Riders vanish? Only moving the horses didn’t look very incredible. And, only moving the horses made Kit get drained of power? Also, the one who is said to have done it is Ragnor Fell, who, according to Magnus in City of Lost Souls, is one of the few warlocks capable of performing dimensional magic. If Kit used dimensional magic, it’s logical to choose Ragnor to be the one who supposedly did it, because it is credible.
Perhaps I’m wrong and I’m only making it more complicated then they actually are, but I think Kit will be very powerful. And we can’t forget that was the talent rune that helped him to unlock his powers, so his talent is not being persuasive, like Ty thought, nor fighting.
The second thing I want to talk about is if he will know how to use his powers in TWP.
In the fanfics, Kit has no control of his powers; he can only use them in random situations. I think he will be able to use them whenever he wants. First of all, there’s no reason why Kit will not be able to use them on his will. Tessa said few of his ancestors were able to use them, so, why not Kit? He was able to unlock them thanks to the talent rune Ty drew him (Kit noticed it brunt just before), and?
The codex says “This magic is slippery and chaotic and is not easily given to structure and rules that can be learned”. Kit used them just by instinct, without anyone telling him what to do, like when he fought with the demon the day his father died. With time and Tessa by his side, who I don’t know if she can help him, because despite being a warlock, faerie magic and warlock magic are very different (Malcom said in Lady Midnight that it was like translating something from another language), there’s no reason he won’t be able to use them.
Also, Ash, being the son of Sebastian and the Seelie Queen, can use faerie magic too. From the synopsis of Forever Fallen, we know he can use magic and his powers are growing. Leaving aside Sebastian’s extra demon blood Ash inherited and Kit’s Unseelie King’s blood, there’s no difference between Ash and Kit. At least not a very significant one. (I’ll do another post talking only about the similarities and differences between these two, because I think this will be really important)
What’s more, I think magic will be Kit’s weapon. Of course, in front of other shadowhunters he will not be able to use them, so he will have to use seraph blades, but think about this. Toward the second half of QoAaA Kit and Jace had a talk about weapons and Jace told him he would find find a weapon for him. The day after the failed attempt to resurrect Livvy, Jace gave him a Herondale knife, but it couldn’t be his weapon because Jace had said throwing knives wes out for him, since he didn’t have any training. There is also the problem which Tessa commented on the ending of QoAaD: “If it happens again, word will spread. Besides, faeries have long memories, and we want to make you as safe as possible”. Using his powers is dangerous, maybe something will happen and he will have no choice save using them and he will have to face the consequences.
For now, we can’t know if all of this is true, but I think we will find some answers in Forever Fallen.
Kyouka Jirou from My Hero Academia (boku no hero academia)
I don’t draw enough art for this manga/anime relative to how much I like it.
Anyways, I just randomly felt like drawing one of my favorite characters from it.
had a random stick idea
i too want to bring upon war and destruction i too am thirsty for vengeance and power i too want to express my pain by creating shadows and spitting fire
//I’m horribly unobservant, forgive me. But It only JUST occurs to me that the sky flame holders of the Tr-Ni-Sette all have a kind of power or ability beyond just their flames. Like Vongola has the hyper intuition (and apparently being able to say ‘fuck time. These rings will answer to me and me only until someone else I say is worthy gets to have all their power), Sky Arcobaleno just have a plethora of abilities (reviving other arcos, ability to see the future, head of the Tri-Ni-Sette, reading people’s minds/hearts, seeing other versions of herself), Byakuran with the whole ‘Seeing Parallel Universes’ bit--
As cool as it all sounds all I can think of is ‘these poor children’. Like, Byakuran’s power literally drove him mad, Yuni’s powers shorten her life span--Tsuna seems to get the best bargain but I have this floating headcanon that Hyper Intuition also comes with like, hyper awareness of one’s surroundings at all times. Like, they notice/feel everything if limiters on their powers aren’t placed (like Nono put on Tsuna),even outside of hyper mode. Which would make the world a very loud and hard to bear place without a lot of practice tuning things out and having something to focus most of his senses on (and even then, I headcanon that Tsuna and Giotto are both prone to headaches or chronic migraines).
But yeah--poor children D://
