were in a fanserver for a new show on youtube (only two episodes out atm), there was a chat where singlets could ask questions and systems could answer.

"whats the original personality in a system called?"

us: "oh theyre called cores, theyre the 'original personality' before fragmentation, sometimes a core is a host and sometimes it isnt."

they called us abelist for saying that some people had cores to start off with (the link they sent stated that some systems never have cores and are systems from birth, to tldr it), they claimed it was an endo term and that we were pieces of shit for spreading misinfo.

if it is or was an endo term, we didnt know. ever since the ex-host discovered the system, they used core to describe the original personality because it was the term that all of our (also traumagenic) system friends use to describe their cores. we havent seen any proof to back up the claim that core is an endo term

and we tried to explain that we arent endo, we dont support endos, but they didnt hear us out. they didnt listen they shamed us and we ended up leaving the server later that same hour.

Core is an outdated term since core theory has been proven false, but some people still use it to describe an alter that appears the same as the body or who has been host since a young age.

Endos - specifically willowgenics and tulpas - use the term core to mean the "original" who "created the others."

Honestly it's kinda ridiculous that they didn't hear you out or educate you..

Core/Halfa theory:

What if the reason halfas are considered so powerful is because when they use up all of their cores energy they just revert to their human form, sure they are tired after but there’s no long term damage from over exerting their core.

While a regular ghost would be in a lot more danger if they exhausted their core since it’s their very being their core is their essence. So if they used all of their energy up by either fighting or some other reason they may go into a dorment/hibernation state or in extreme cases of core exhaustion they could even dissipate compleatly.

But as a halfa danny and vlads bodies would just revert to their human state letting their ghost side have a break while still being able to function in an emergency situation. This is why Danny is able to do such a powerful attack like the ghostly wail when we hardly see any other ghosts come even close to being able to use to that level of destructive ability. And it could possibly be why Dan took so long to learn it, because he lacked a human half he had to build up his ability to use more and more power before his core becoming exhausted and running the risk of dissipating.

Where Theories Collide!

There are two main theories of ideas for why systems form. They each are believed in the system community, but we personally believe both are correct – to an extent.

What is the core theory?

The core theory states that there is an alter born into the body. Then, as trauma happens over time, more alters will split off that core and the system forms. Many people don't believe in this.

What is the theory of structural dissociation?

The theory of structural dissociation states that each child is born with different parts for different things, such as eating and sleeping. Around the ages of 7-9, the parts of the child will integrate and form a single personality and identity. If trauma occurs before this time, the brain will raise dissociative barriers between the parts and prevent the identity from integrating. These parts then become their own identity and the system is formed.

How do they "collide?"

Well! We believe in the theory of structural dissociation as it's the one that makes the most sense scientifically. However, we also believe in cores in the sense that there are alters that identify with the body. So we came up with our own theory.

OSDDID is a covert disorder. It's meant to stay hidden. If an alter doesn't identify with the body in any way, it wouldn't stay hidden as easily. This is why we believe that some systems form alters based off their body, of who they would be if they weren't a system. This would be a core. They then become the host until there's too much trauma for them to not be able to be host anymore. This is at least what we believe happened with our system.

Some systems don't have cores. That's okay. I personally believe it's because the brain did other measures to make sure it isn't found out, if that makes sense. And um. Yeah.

As for the story behind it, that's a long one, but Soliac helped Necrozma put themself back together after the humans tore them apart, and Necrozma, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to be loyal to Soliac after she did so. Soliac, a person who's far too easy to fall for someone, of course, fell for Necrozma after they showed mercy to the humans that hurt them.

Necrozma still needed to heal the holes in their core for them to fully heal, so Soliac offered to share some of her core to heal theirs. Hmm.. having someone steal your core feels a lot better than ripping it in half yourself.

Warning: Tearing or splitting of one's core could result in self annihilation. Don't do it.

out of all the things that people claim are aNtI rEcOvErY, the core theory is possibly the stupidest.

i dont think its hurting anyone for my system to point at a child alter who looks and acts like "we" did pre-did and say "this is the original". cause like. what else do we fucking call her.

Decoherence does not generate actual wave function collapse.
