I have to talk about an incident that happened this weekend with a neighbour in my building. Something happened many months ago with a guest of mine when I wasn't in the building. Instead of my neighbour texting me or speaking to me about it, or when she bumped into me in the building a couple of times, she let it build up and last week she saw me and proceeded to scream and shout at me. Even coming to my door to do the same after I had to extract myself from her space.... The thing that struck me, I remember her asking me twice - " If your mother is sick what are you doing in this country....?" The lovely couple next door who met mother when she visited last year told her and I told her on the spot. In this current political climate this could be taken as a thinly veiled attack....I dunno I couldn't shake that question, was so loaded. Anyway the conclusion is that whatever is going on in her life - I know she's a struggling screenwriter, I know it's not always easy living in LA - she off loaded it all onto me and took it in her power to try to tear me down and threaten me through other actions she took, because she could at that time, instead of taking the opportunity to perhaps support each other.
