I feel like Helena being touchstarved is a pretty widely accepted headcanon
Helena is definitely awkward when it comes to meeting new people and especially when it comes to interacting with someone she's attracted towards
The more she cares about you and actually wants to touch you, the more awkward and irritable she is going to become
Helena grew up in a very large, tight knit family, all of whom were taken abruptly away from her when she was in, like, middle school
Helena was fairly traumatized by the whole ordeal (obvi) and it stunted her ability to really make relationships
She avoided new relationships at first because she didn't want anything to get the in the way of her revenge. But after achieving her goals, she realized that she couldn't form a relationship with anyone even if she tried
At least not just "anyone"
Her friends were different. Margarita night with the Birds helped her get out of her shell. She ended up living with Harley for a little while and this really did wonders for her no touch policy
Harley is the type of friend that hugs and kisses on others, which was jarring for Helena at first but she got used to it
When you entered the picture, Helena was really really frustrated by the fact that she couldn't just be casual
Helena watched Dinah flirt effortlessly with men and women at bars and clubs, never having a problem with the closness or the touching
And Helena has always felt somewhat threatened by Dinah; relationship wise. She's always worried you'll end up choosing Dinah one day
So she's just a mess like all the time

She spends many a nights laying with you on the bed, her head on your chest as you help her calm down
Please understand what I mean when I say that majority of her physical interactions with others have been comically violent so she doesn't know if she's even capable of being gentle and soft
I forget a lot that Helena basically was apart of the mafia/mob and actively fights in Gotham or Jump or wherever the hell BoP takes place
I wholeheartedly believe that Helena is scared of ruining everything she lays a hand on
Once Helena really becomes comfortable around you, you're done for
It's constant touching all the time

She loves skinship. She likes to bathe with you and just hold you in her arms, or vise versa, absorbing all your warmth and the smell of your perfume

Finally watched Birds of Prey for the first time and

Like... I saw Suicide Squad before and was like ya ok cool buncha Batman’s villains are beating up this weird magic bitch and HQ is being hot and crazy whatevs.
But like. Birds of Prey? DUDE. I dunno. Maybe it’s the fact she’s actually not Jokers play thing? Maybe it’s that there’s more than one morally bankrupt female lead character? Maybe it’s Brucie the hyena in a pink sparkly collar! Maybe it’s Harley making herself a home, chopping her hair short and cute and fun the way she likes it and making a name for herself besides “Jokers bitch”.
I dunno, but it was badass, 10/10. Probably gonna get some Fanfics worked on now because I have not felt this pumped since idk when.
