He perks up at your request. "Oh- y-you want- Billy's sweater?" Its voice is shaky.

"Mhm," you giggle, resting your hand on his. "It reminds me of you. I'd like to have it with me when I go out."

Confusion shows in his expression. "You're g-g-going out?" The look of betrayal on its face tugs at your heartstrings, but you stand your ground.

"We have this conversation every week, Billy. I need to get food for us. I need to get food for Claude. I won't be gone long." Gripping his hand firmly, you lean in to plant a kiss on his forehead. "Promise."

"I know." His tone flattens, giving away its disappointment. The sudden switch from third to first person unnerves you, but you decide to ignore it.

"When I get back we can make more garlands," You coax, grinning at the way he tilts his head with interest.

"With candy canes?" It asks softly, giving you puppy eyes.

"Sure, Billy. We can make garlands with candy canes. But first you have to let me go out and buy some." He hesitates.

"F-f-fine. Go get c-c-candy. Be fast." It grumbles, shedding its green turtleneck and tossing it in your lap before jumping off the couch and scurrying away. You shake your head before pulling on his sweater. It smells like dirt and decaying leaves.

- first of all, Billy is very uncomfortable with girls, so the fact that you've managed to win it over is a miracle.

- It's very dense emotionally, but it too was a girl once so it's able to sympathize with you in that aspect.

- It will often stalk you around the house. It will interfere with what you're doing whenever possible, because it likes to be near you.

- It says nasty things revolving sex, mainly because being around people brings out its tics.

- It will ask you constantly what your name is. It wants to make sure you aren't Agnes. Reassure it as often as possible.

- It brings you the dead rats it finds in the attic. They're gifts! Treasure them. It doesn't get gifts for just anyone.

- It likes to sit on your lap. Trying to read? Work? Doesn't matter. It will flop down wherever it wants regardless of how convenient it is.

- It tries to make food for you. It really does. But between its tendency to space out and its attraction to sharp objects, most of its cooking ends in some sort of serious injury.

- It insists that Claude is equivalent in status to a human child. It spends real effort trying to get you to refer to Claude as your son.

- Does not let you in the attic. Sorry, that's its hiding place. It's willing to spend time with you on the main floor, though.
