Makeover #5 Family Pancakes
Bob Pancakes On the left, the version of Bob Pancakes by EA. On the right, my version: Reflects his traits a bit more, especially the slob trait. He looks like he takes less care of himself.
Eliza Pancakes On the left, the version of Eliza Pancakes by EA. On the right, my version: As with many of the Sims I’ve made over, Eliza mostly just got a little refresh. Modernizing her a bit !

Would I say that the name Korn and the word "corndog" sound about the same to the ear?
"Mmmm, corndog….." reader dreamily say when you hear Korn's name, and the next moment reader, Cusu and Whis are chanting "corndog!!!" in unison, even if none of them realize what's even going on or why started it in the first place
Okay I haven't done any edits lately, I just do them when I really need to... this is pretty much one of those cases
This starts during the Tournament of Power.
Everyone is in the stands.
Universe 7 is quietly watching another match unfold.
Beerus is yelling.
Shin is panicking.
Android 17 looks like he'd rather be literally anywhere else.
Someone from another universe casually says,
"Korn, tell me who that is."
Y/N, who was already at the stands after being beated up, and was extremely hungry...
"...Corndog..."
Silence.
Piccolo slowly looks over.
"What?"
Y/N blinks.
"...Nothing."
"...I just suddenly want a corndog."
Krillin sighs.
"You've got food on the brain."
"I haven't eaten in hours."
"You had three lunches."
Whis, standing nearby with his staff, hears this exchange.
"...Corndog?"
Y/N nods solemnly.
"His name kind of sounds like corndog."
Whis considers this for exactly three seconds.
"..."
"...It does."
That should have been the end of it.
It was not.
About twenty minutes later...
Korn is mentioned again.
Whis quietly whispers,
"...Corndog."
Y/N immediately loses it.
"You hear it too!"
"I do."
Beerus pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Oh no."
Unfortunately...
Cus has exceptional hearing.
She floats over, curious.
"What are you two talking about?"
Whis points toward the arena.
"Korn."
"...Corndog."
Cus repeats it experimentally.
"..."
"...Corndog."
"..."
"...It does sound similar."
From that moment onward...
Every single time someone says Korn's name...
Three voices can be heard somewhere in the audience.
"Corndog."
Nobody remembers why.
It's simply become law.
The other Angels are...concerned.
Vados blinks.
"...What are they doing?"
Martinu looked at them.
"I believe they are participating in what mortals call an 'inside joke.'"
"It seems highly contagious."
Korn notices.
"..."
Every.
Single.
Time.
He hears someone enthusiastically yell,
"CORNDOG!"
...right after his name.
At first he assumes mortals simply have unusual customs.
Then he notices...
It's always the same three people.
Y/N.
Whis.
Cus.
"..."
He chooses not to ask.
He fears the answer.
One day, after the tournament...
Korn quietly approaches Whis.
"...May I ask something?"
"Of course."
"...What is..."
"...a corndog?"
Whis smiles politely.
"I have absolutely no idea."
"You've been saying that a lot."
"I know."
Months later, Y/N finally buys a corndog from a festival on Earth.
Whis, naturally, wants to know what inspired the obsession.
Y/N hands him one.
He takes a thoughtful bite.
"..."
"...Oh."
Another bite.
"...These are rather delightful."
From across the courtyard, Beerus hears Whis happily announce,
"I understand now."
Beerus doesn't even look up from his food.
"I don't want to."
Meanwhile, Korn receives a package from Universe 7.
Inside is a single note.
"Thought you'd finally deserve one."
And beneath it...
A frozen box of Earth corndogs.
He still has no idea what he did to earn them.

Reshi listened to Rio talk about her world’s Zekrom, taking in the details carefully. Rio had experienced a Unovan War in her own right, witnessing firsthand how it tore apart the legend she had served at the very seams.
Striking down his own people, the words rang familiar in her head. She remembered all too well how the cuvil war in her own world had families killing their own kin should they disagree. The bloodshed had dampened the morale of her prince greatly, war no matter the stakes was always a heavy load for the mind to bear.
Sometimes disappearing forever was tempting. Reshi wouldn’t lie; the idea of an eternal slumber in the stone was a peaceful one. Yet a part of her was glad to be alive, breathing deep in the cold air and enjoying a meal that had been delicately prepared.
It was freeing to be sitting here, listening to the ‘smaller’ pokémon.
Rio held alot of insight that helped to broaden the goddess’s horizon. She was right. Her people, regardless of who they presently were, needed her power and protection. It was her job to serve them, to protect the land from liars.
“Thank you Rio, I think that’s something I needed to hear.” She gave the rockruff a grin. “You have a perspective that helps me see the entire painting as it were.”
As Rio began to talk once more, Reshi relaxed in her chair, leaning forward on the wooden bar top. It was quite funny to think of a rockruff who had draconic in her-
“Your Zekrom must've been a piece of work."
Reshi stopped, beath hitching in her throat.
Something settled in her chest, hard to breathe. A familiar face in her mind.
Sour beats in her chest, that familiar flutter of the heart she had forgotten. The shine of a blade, blue currents illuminating the area. Comforting words in deep tones, the same voice clawing into her.
Late hours and cold nights, bright torches lighting halls. The cape barely dusting the floor, clean and secure. His eyes tired, but strong, ready to leap into action without hesitation.
She knew what he was. One word came to mind, but the weight of it had threatened to crush her should she utter it.
“H-he…He was…” She started. Reshi couldn’t complete the sentence, to do so was to admit aloud how much he truly hurt her. Her form crumpled into itself, heat dying in the small area she occupied. The silence had been so long that one might’ve thought that was where her sentence ended.
A whisper finally left, a quiet admission as it was finally put into the world.
