finished decking out my cane- thought the alien/space theme would be fun for my first one. did it with some stickers and charms i ordered from etsy a while back (when i had the spare cash lol💔), as well as the beaded keychain i made myself. even put on some glow-in-the-dark stickers to find it easier at night :))

Meet Professor Voss Cypress 🥼 !

Being from the region of Theos, (a custom region my friends and I are creating @ravannanest @booitsloki ) Prof. Cypress is a human, and a very strong trainer. While locals fondly think of him as the weird but nice guy who lives in the woods and gives kids their starter Pokémon, the greater world knows him best as Thaos's top Pokémon researcher and a member of the Elite Four.

Imagine thinking that capitalism incentive structures don't exist in fucking norway,, girl ur country literally is funded by neocolonialism

She goes on to say here that harassing trans people doesn't have a capitalist incentive. It absolutely does and acknowledging this does not diminish trans people's struggles, targeting trans people serves to create a common enemy on the right to help unite them while they're struggling economically. Currently the "third world" is working to reclaim their share through gaining economic independence and especially with programs like BRICS and China's moves to support countries with non-predatory loans- this scares "first world" countries (using quotations because that's how people generally refer to these countries but the labels are very outdated and don't reflect a country's worth or people). Having trans people or immigrants or whoever to point the finger at is very useful to capitalism and knowing this is useful to fighting it. This absolutely includes the cruelty just for the sake of it, it may seem random but it serves to reinforce the system at hand.

Finally she concludes by implying that capitalism is an exclusive problem to the united states. This is not unique to the united states by any means, capitalism is a worldwide evil that must be confronted and that includes its tendrils such as transphobia, racism, ableism, misogyny, homophobia, etc. Attacking just one of these things will not solve the issue, acknowledging the capitalist base for these issues is the first step in being able to properly confront them.

if any other disabled ppl have tips for getting into the art game bc i won't be able to work my job much longer with my legs not working (playing the waiting game of how long it takes them to fire me for falling on the job✌🏽)

i have a portfolio set up and have done graphic design work since 2019 but haven't been able to have any luck finding consistent places to sell shit, if anyone else has any suggestions lmk it would be greatly appreciated

the old ppl in my city hate to see me coming

i've gotten stares since my first orthopedic appointment (since the avg age in that room is 65+) and that's not even to mention when i'm using my cane. at least there's that kinda fake hospitality w old ppl, they're not gonna kick ur cane from under you and will most of the time make room for u. but the stares still suck- decking out my cane anyway,, i'll be sure to show u guys once it's all done
