For someone who's only played baldurs gate games and as you said 2e like once a long time ago, you sure talk like an expert in game design for the entire rest of the games history and other mechanics

(besides bard) what's one class you can never take too serious? Mine is wizard

specifically necromancers.

Hmm that's a hard one. Since I usually host games I end up playing practically every class at one point.

I kinda can't take sorcerers seriously. Magical nepo babies the lot of them. Grandad was special friends with an eldritch abomination or talking tree spirit and boom you've got powers.

They front as masters of raw arcane energy but all it takes is a single forehead flick to knock them the heck out

What's your favorite plot twist you've pulled on the party?

Honestly, I don't pull too many twists on my party, since a lot of our sessions are more goofing around and having a good time, but I did do a little murder mystery once. It really wasn't intended to be too much of a twist. It was (at least what I thought of) as a pretty straight forward mystery. The murderer was acting shady as all hell and the other suspects were a little cagey at worst but my players really got got by the reveal of who did it.

There is a twist I'm looking forward too related to a character's backstory that the rest of the party doesn't know about and I don't want to say too much about, but it may or may not rhyme with 'secret doppelganger.'

25. What is your favorite snack for d&d?

it used to be sourcream and onion chips but these days i usually just make a spicy cheese & chicken salami sandwich during break! i drink at least three whole bottles of water during sessions lol

26. If you could have one potion from d&d, which one would you choose?

very basic of me but definitely potion of water breathing! would be nice to be able to sit underwater w/o having to come up for air every two minutes or so... all the sounds of the world deafened, i yearn for that kind of peace of quiet.

31. Tell me about your current party!

we're in our Icy City Campaign currently! and currently we have two robots one of them a wizard named The Academic and another is CuCo a barbarian. CuCo wouldn't pass the Turing test, but The Academic would (altho it wouldnt want to). We have firbolg royalty, two brothers of some faraway kingdom, Hao and Sang who are paladibard and monk respectively! Something happened to their home altho we don't know what just yet! Then there's Schrodinger, a drow bardmonk who is, as you can guess from the name, a catboy in name and antics. And then there's my dwarf druid, Orion who is just vibing rn and believes the party is just a one-mission hit and out. They're also secretly a ranger but thats only for me and the DM to know.

Anyway, we're on our very first mission so far and the party is basically like:

The campaign is set in The Icy City, a planet salvaged by the Icy Princess and cased with Ice and magic to protect life that persevered. The surface of the planet is dead and it only gets warmer the closer you get to the core. Our adventures take us across the solar system which was shattered by a mysterious occurrence and now life exists in pockets. For instance, my druid Orion is from the Asteroid Belt where their small community is populated by orcs and duergars who are working actively to make the asteroids habitable and safe. the lore is fantastic and i have to give credit to our DM who has worked so hard to make the history of the world so beautiful and heartfelt. the more i learn the more i love it!

Ahh nope, I am painfully white. But, it’s way more fun to read, write, draw and RP a wide variety characters than just ones that look like me!

Have you heard of a system called "Anime Campaign"? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Hmmm! Anime Campaign? Unfortunately I have not heard of it but it sounds interesting.

Usually I try to stay away from anime related things in my D&D/ttrpg games because of some poor experiences I've had with another player I used to play with. (That was a whole problem :( but its since been fixed and let me meet some of my best friends so not a loss)

If anyone knows anything about this system, hmu.
