unsolicited facts about my family

i talk about how my whole family is dicks a lot and while that is true it generally does not apply to my dad

my dad is a really great guy and i love him a lot and he has always been more enthused and encouraging about my creative hobbies than my mom, especially my writing

when i was like 13 i made him read the entirety of a really shitty multichaptered fushigi yuugi fanfic i had written and bless his heart he read the entire thing despite not knowing a thing about the animes and he talked with me about it

when i finished the first draft of the rabbit effect he was the first one to finish reading it and while he was reading it he would call me and tell me what parts he thought were funny, i had never felt so good about my writing as when my dad was legitimately enjoying it

he has this really adorable blind faith in me that i will BECOME A BEST SELLING NOVELIST!! or something which is... not going to happen but the fact that he thinks it will is not only endearing but also really encouraging and he is always happy when i am working on writing stuff

gosh i really love my dad!!
