okay but damn can we talk about gamble's actor for a second because holy shit. chris myers was excellent in that role. not only did he bring gamble to life with just a few short scenes spread out across a handful of episodes, but he also pulled off the possessed by an alien entity insanely well. the physical acting, the shift in posture and speech was all so well done. when m'benga revealed that gamble should be brain dead I got actual chills.

the episode's ending definitely felt a little rushed, and I really wanted to see more dialogue from this 'vezda'. I'm hoping this is leading somewhere interesting, but mostly even if it's a slim chance I really hope to see this actor again, because honestly killing him off so soon is a shocking waste of talent

Season 3, episode 10: New life and new civilizations (SNW)

Soooooo, that was gay

Commentary:

- The freaking mind meld!!!! Hello???? You barely know each other. Love that for them

- Uncle Sock had be dying

- The ending montage was nice, I love seeing the domestic moments.

- Scotty in a kilt!!!!

- The amount of Spirk flirting in this was insane. Kirk calling it a date and Spock just kinda agreeing. I’m going insane.

- Did Batel make that whole life montage happen or was it something else? I’m confused.

- I’m still upset about Gamble, but that costume was really cool.

- They had dogs!!!!

- rip Batel, I didn’t know that much about you, but I liked you.

- Una telling Uhura to get used to Spirk was great. Like, girl, you have no clue how right you are.

- Jim and Sam moment!!!!

8/10, I liked it, however, the Spirk content boosted it an extra point or two, so I may be slightly biased.

Let me shit on Korby some more because he deserves it and it makes me feel better.

First of all, this is his fault. He let the Vezda out in the first place. Who knows what horrors he will still unleash on the galaxy.

I'm shocked he even recognized Gamble since he didn't give one single fuck when his eyes were burned out of his skull right in front of him. He just wanted to stay and play Indianna Jones.

I guess he had no plan except to dodge Chapel's calls and then stand around while the Vezda started taking control of this planet. Amazing plan, Korby. Really A+.
