AU where Dane just comes home and joins the OIAR simply because he's just too fucking stupid.
Dane is absolutely sending me his line deliveries are so funny and he's such a fucking dork.
The delivery of "Wooden puppets don't count as hostiles" killed me I love this guy he sucks so bad
who up being viscerally disassembled??
So how certain are we that Dane Bowie was a real person and not some manifestation of a stereotypical American military guy?
Like what if Starkwall is actually one collective External, and they keep printing out carbon copies of practically the same power-hungry action man who shows up guns blazing with their CoD lingo and their sunglasses and their readiness to beat up some baddies, because that's what people expect them to be?
Or is that just what power does to a person.
I know a man was being murdered by toys but at the end there I could only think of this and laugh
Aw man Dane Bowie was comedy gold. I was in the military and I assure you anyone like him was a complete poseur. Nobody actually talks like that. If they do, they're a tryhard who has never even been stationed outside the continental united states, let alone deployed, assuming they're even a veteran at all.
I'm going to assume it was intentional given how he was going on about situational awareness while tourists bumped into him. Is that really the caliber of people that Starkwall is hiring? Or did they intentionally send him as a sacrifice?
I'm not convinced Dane Bowie was fully human himself. Like if the next Starkwall guy we meet is named Austin Howitzer, I'm just assuming they're all part of an Agent Smith-style hivemind.
