He really is pretty, even with his wet look with petals on his lips and red eyes. Some people can look good no matter what.

I do want to discuss darin

One of the things I notice about him is that while he's very smart and in touch with things, he hesitates to make the final say. He notices things, points them out, and then lets sey make the final connection. It seems to be comfortable for him.

That, compounded with the way that he seems to be very faithful and doesn't want to think that an organisation or person that should be above reproach could harm people... It leads him into strange positions.

He's the one to say things abt the cold room, to notice the pipes, to look up the generator, but when it comes to making that final leap of judgement, there's something that stops him. He just can't do it.

I see this as a near purposeful denial on his part. For this to be true, it means things in his life that he has previously considered Safe are now Unsafe. Darin is a very scared person, there aren't many things that make him feel safe. This must be terrifying and heartbreaking for him.
