OC3AN | A few days ago, we supported a Shoreline Cleanup hosted by Matthew Pattinson, an avid sailor, scuba diver and lover of all things marine life. Unfortunately, I was away in the UK but I donated a crew and some water bottles and connected Matt to everyone I knew that may want to attend the event. They cleaned up the Shoreline near #DavidLamPark and hosted a conversation about #microplastic pollution from apparel after the cleanup. Matthew believes that as purveyors of the outdoors and natural playground, we have a calling to be caretakers and I couldn’t agree more. Here are some photo’s from the event taken by the very talented, @shotbydevan who has actually been a NOVEL supporter from day one. It’s only fitting he would be the photographer for this event. There's the highly sought after Canada Goose (#canadagoose ) retailers in Vancouver, across Canada & select cities Worldwide. Then there's this one. Less sought after - #canadageese considered pests by many ~> especially in Seattle, USA - what's up with that, you ask? Seattle surrounded by way more freshwater lakes than Vancouver, hence their numbers more than plentiful (unpleasant at times ) Anyway, S/he waddled up quietly next to me as I was sat stationary, minding my own, poised motionless waiting to capture something on iPhone. I was beside myself, startled, when I looked beside myself to find I had a new inquisitive friend. Albeit, rather demanding bossy "friend@, hissing at me to surrender my snack (good sense of smell). Ever so tame, yet in for the take. Alas, the relationship was only a one way venture & quickly broken up by an off-leash dog.
