While the original version used Megatron, I used my Decepticon Pretender OC Backdraft since she was designed to be Chandler’s counterpart, as Starscream is Duke’s in the companion G1 Transformers S4 AU.

Further exploration in Kurt, Ram and Dan’s relationship. Early on, like the source material, it’s antagonistic with Dan viewing them in his mind as Decepticons. Dan’s favorite TF hands down is Bumblebee, and views himself similarly as the plucky little buddy type. He settled on Ram being Blitzwing and Kurt being Octane because of their personalities, but found later it was surprisingly more accurate than he expected when Kurt and Ram started growing up. Blitzwing and Octane had both defected from the Decepticons, and in this universe’s fabled forth season of the G1 cartoon, the two had joined the Autobots proper and helped Bumblebee rescue the Nucleon girl Nucle-Ai. In real life, this would repeat itself when Dan helps Ram rescue Martha from committing suicide.

A Blitzwing centric thing for my G1 S4 concepts. Octane and him helped out the Autobots in fighting Finback’s pirates, who were hired by the Quintessons to capture Nucle-Ai.
An early Life on Earth that featured Whirl. A reaction comic to Whirl’s toy being revealed in a Japanese catalog (though I think the toy along with most of the other CV line was canceled there due to poor sales), as Whirl hasn’t appeared in a cartoon before, let alone isn’t a character in major demand (at least before MTMTE I think). Because the CV cartoon hadn’t premiered Whirl‘s nervous personality yet, I based his personality on MTMTE Whirl albeit toned down because I always aim my comics at kids tuning in. Also a return of the running gag of Prime’s trailer being destroyed.
