The Gallbladder: the organ, referred pain, associated muscles, meridian and fascia

This organ is said to refer to the right side shoulder, but after that the consensus on referred pain seemed a little less clear. There are images and articles that show abdominal referral and posterior referral to a spot on the back. One doc I talked with used to refer to the abdomen as a “black box” in terms of its mysteries and pain.

On a parallel, there’s common agreement that popliteus is an associated muscle but after that there’s some discord.

Just sitting with this one for today… what movements benefit your gallbladder?

The tongue, is there a more frequently utilized pleasurable muscle? At least three times a day for me, if not more 😂 Considering it's incredibly important location, very few are doing tongue exercises. Not saying you should, but let's perhaps raise a little awareness. Where does your tongue sit in your mouth? Do you know there's an ideal location? Is your tongue pressing against certain teeth? That then show imprints on your tongue if you look at it? When you exercise, where's your tongue live? And when you sleep and sit? How about the gun space behind your front teeth? Does it feel like gummy gums like the rest of your teeth or hardened and dehydrated? There's a little hole created in half by each maxillary bone that allows for the nasopalatine nerve to come from your nasal cavity to your mouth. This is a key neurological location glossed over in many meditations as to where your tongue should sit, but ever get into the why? Toe connections: gallbladder (GB) and liver (LV) Yesterday, we explored kidney and urinary bladder (included in todays slide). Today, I combined the myofascia and meridians of the GB and LV channels. The comparison begins to enlighten a few ideas, but I will wait until tomorrow when we do Stomach and Spleen. What’s worth noting here is the yin and Yang aspects of the foot. In fact, I feel like the fourth toe really gets forgotten (for that I’d add the third toe also since “knee over second toe,” and big toe fascinations are rather commonplace). Anyhow, if yin is receptive and yang is active, how can you play with your foot and balance and gait between these two lines??? The other pole: your feet I joke that I have a healthy cranium and foot fetish. These are the two major poles of the body with some interesting polarity I just realized… -cranium receives the sun and starts all the yang meridian lines, but has no real direct contact with our environment -conversely, the feet contact the earth directly, receive our weight, and are the beginning of all the yin lines Anyhow, here at the foot today, I have illustrated the end of the #bladdermeridian and the beginning of the #kidneymeridian Also pictured here are the #fascial planes on each side: #deepfrontline and #superficialbackline I have so many thoughts on this, but before any presumptions, I want to get to the other connecting lines of the feet to see what they have to say. The Kidneys, organ of your soul? Couldn’t help myself looking at their proximal relationship to the over personified psoas, “Muscle of Your Soul.” However, as far as muscles and organs go, I can see why these are associated (vs Gallbladder and the popliteus muscle). Also included in this image is the anterior longitudinal ligament (ALL) as a nod to the kidney sinew channel, which is said to run up the inner aspect of the spine. Brandon recently ran 6:38/mile for 8 miles and strives to become faster.  Getting ready for Indoor track. We constantly vary his training modalities from #vipr to #stickmobility to #warding drills.  Never the same stimulus or workout.  In this particular workout he performs #dynamicfascialmovements to wake up ( warm up ) his proprioceptors specifically the #mechanoreceptors to adapt to variable loading demands.  We use the #nabosomattechnology to stimulate the free nerve endings in his feet while incorporating a #shortfoot to lock in the fascial system which is totally body #core #deepfrontline #anatomytrains  You’ll notice at the end he has a stick in b/t his teeth followed by a Hum & swallow #loisbreathingmethod  Stick in mouth/tongue on roof, opens his airway ( removing excess CO2 ) and teaches his tongue proper function, providing a tensile effect to the fascial system.  Humming produces abundant #nitricoxide increasing #vasodilation. The entire workout we #nasalbreathe which is the most efficient way of delivering O2 to the tissues.  Re-sequencing #cranialnerves, re-mapping #homunculus (at Downtown Athletic Club)
