Not the best video but here Brandon demonstrates a pistol squat with a 70lb kb... His strength is seriously on view here but let’s put the emphasis on his fascial pliability & adaptability. The fact that he wakes up his proprioceptors with #dynamicfascialmovements prior to his workout affords his joints & transfer of force throughout his fascial system to release muscle inhibition while increasing muscular activation prior to handling loads that create stress THROUGHOUT the body not by focusing strength solely on the glutes & quads....Muscles are dumb. All they do is contract & release and the driving force behind that mechanism is the surrounding fascial tissue...which is what matters most. To my chagrin his footwear is terrible. The gym won’t let him go barefoot and I don’t know why he doesn’t have flat shoes on. To make this exercise even more remarkable is the fact that he’s doing it on a soft plyo box with an elevated heel. During the exercise you’ll notice he’s breathing through his nose and at the end of the exercise he recovers strictly with nasal breathing.
