The god let loose an abstract howl. Something akin to ichor seeped down the semblance of their face. It may not be the divine power that the scripture once depicted, and yet the ritual brought this entity here. As to whether or not it is the same god they've been searching for, Caretaker will have to find out through time.

A god whumper whose favourite mortal is the whumpee. Being a god's favourite just means that you're going to get subjected to various forms of cosmic and psychological horror just for the whumper's own enjoyment

Like, Angel's being forcefully tied down to the mortal world for whatever reason. To either torture or vivisect.

An eldritch deity being trapped inside a human vessel. Them being so vast and nearly infinite being filtered down and changed by a vessel that's actively rejecting them. Possibly by their own cultists.

man just. Really powerful whumpee's being brought down and being in constant pain. I dunno, tho I do know that human caretaker would taste divine with either of the above ideas

Prompt: Fallen God

A god is bound to flesh and bone and made to walk the earth.

Was this a punishment (if yes, what did they do?), or something else? Can they die? Do they have any of their powers? What repercussions do their followers face when their patron disappears? What is it like to experience sense for the first time? Is anyone there to help them when they “fall” from heaven?

Angst prompts for Character A (human) being lover of a volcano deity/Character B?

Ya know lava is dangerous and stuff so you can see this can go many ways lol also volcano deity has a vengeful sister, extra info.

To start, here is a very educational and thorough article on the danger of lava in its multiple forms. TW for severe burns, cuts, fire, natural disaster.

I imagine character B, the volcano deity, embodies the characteristic of an active volcano. Here is an article on the risk of an active volcano.

- Character B's skin has areas similar to cooled lava, with sharp edges that can cut their lover's skin. They have to be careful to not hurt character A and might be really reluctant/afraid to touch their lover.

- Other part of their body, for example their shoulders, are more similar to typical volcano ground. Some plants grow on their body that way, and character A adores the little bushes.

- Character B has been so lonely their entire life because people only fear and/or worship them from afar. Character A coming into their life is a breeze of fresh air. They know that being with A puts A in danger, but B wants to just be selfish for once and hold onto the only person who has ever loved them.

- Character B have the characteristic of an erupting volcano when they have intense emotions, especially anger. Their skin becomes molten lava, and they are covered by volcanic fumes. They always tell their lover to get away when they feel their body start to change, but some of their past lovers didn't get away fast enough. They have to live with the guilt and grief forever.

With character A, character B are trying to keep their emotions under control lest something like that happens again. This stresses them out, and they can feel their power inside stirring and building. They know they will erupt someday, an inevitable fate. And they are terrified of that day.

- Character B knows that they are a danger to their lover as long as they are still alive. Only when a volcano goes extinct, when B dies, that the risk will be completely eliminated.

I don't have too much information of their sister to work off of. But if you want to send me another ask to expand on the deity, the lover, or the sister, you are more than welcome to do so :)

Once upon a time deity whumpee was powerful and terrifying. They looked down on mortals around. Now they are worn down and broken. Now they accept being nothing but a tool or plaything for others as alright.

It hurts falling off that pedestal sometimes

Deity Whump

Did not see any and I think this is something that you can have a lot of fun with, so I guess I have to throw together a list of prompts myself. 

Have there be one thing that can hurt them, and have a whumper of any kind know that (human, other deity, etc). If their weakness is a material, have them be chained up in that or locked in a room made up of it. 

If they get incapacitated, it has severe effects to the realm they rule over. Ocean deity gets knocked out and now there’s tsunamis and water spouts, time deity looses their powers and now there’s glitches and time loops, etc. 

Strip them of their powers. Have them overdo it, have them being taken away temporarily, have it beaten out of them, etc. Personally I prefer when it’s temporary, but make those temporary moments when they need their powers the most and when they’re the most vulnerable. 

Bonus to them being stripped of their powers: them having no idea how to get by as normal or without their powers. Maybe needing to rely on others to take care of them. 

If their powers are directly tied to their emotions, give them a panic attack. It’s hard to stop one when things are starting to also physically fall apart all around because of you. 

Being born human and despising the way things are and wishing they could go back to the way they were. Bonus if they have dysphoria because of it. 

Deity trying to pass as human for one reason or another, but struggling with a physical flaw they can’t remove of their human form which affects how others perceive them. Do they have two faces? Four arms? Weird eyes?

Harm to their realm causes extreme physical effects. Poison to the forest causes the forest deity to rot, draining the river causes the river deity to loose parts of their body, etc. 

Have them be torn apart partially or completely and their deity status being the only thing that’s keeping them together. Have them need to try to reconstruct themself or parts of their body.
