Contradictory culture is orignally identifying as gender-fluid and bisexual as a young teen, to forcing yourself to be a binary trans gay man to realizing that your very very gender-fluid and a lesboy and also alloaro (kinda allo, I’m demisexual but make emotional bonds REALLY FAST so I relate to alloaro experiences more) and a neo/xenogender/pronoun user and voidpunk.

also being queerplatonic polyamorous, and then your current (who is a trans girl who used to use she/they and id’d as enby to now she/her and binary) partner who you initially started as a QPR (monogomus) that she kind of forced into a romantic relationship (monogomus) suddenly be fine with a QPR and polyamorous stuff even tho romantic labeling made me like dysphoric for lack of a better word and then leaves you for a binary, white, skinny able bodied transbien. Oh and also cherry on top of it, she used to have attraction to me in a sapphic way towards enbies but then in her brain her daddy issues took over and forced binary man stuff and hyper masculinity on you. I’m also not fully white, chubby, physically and mentally disabled.

Hahaha that’s me. Fuck this shit hurts. She was also my fiancé of two years. Sorry this is a rant/vent I just I feel like a lot of people could relate to going through forcing yourself to be binary and clear cut about your identities pipeline.

Idk if I'm being pessimistic but sometimes it feels like independent creators just make a character demi or grey ace as an after thought but in the worse way possible. What I mean is they make an ace character demi or grey and that's great cause asexuality is a spectrum and I'm grey ace but it feels like they do it just so they can still have their characters fuck while taking credit for being diverse cause their character is asexual. Doesn't feel like it. It feels like they made an allo character and slapped an ace flag on them. You can make a grey or demi ace character, have them fuck and not erase their asexuality. The creators never have the character have a conversation about their asexuality or show it in some way other than them waving an ace flag around when pride month comes. Idk, have them be like "I was never interested in sex until I got to know you for years." or "I'm indifferent to sex but we can do whatever you want, haha." Or their partner wears lingerie and tries to seduce them but it goes over their head but they compliment on how pretty the lace is. Idk, anything other then saying their ace and never bringing it up in the webcomic.

And I know independent creators don't owe people anything but if they don't want to put the effort into make an ace character then just don't make one. It's not like straight, gay/lesbian, bi/pan people are going to notice the lack of us anyway.

We're not a box to be checked off so you can get praise for making a hollow ace character while being able to erase us so you can enjoy your Allonormative mindset. Grey and demi aces are still ACE! Our asexuality doesn't disappear because they have a partner and being sex indifferent or favorable isn't a quirky way to say we're allo. We. Are. Ace.
