SYNOPSIS:

Illikon is a city on the brink of war, waiting for a hero to save them. Kye Vakurseth's job is to assassinate that hero. Long has Kye studied his target: Sir Tom Drake, the Demon Slayer. Under pressure from his partner, a loyal assassin of the order that holds Kye's chain, Kye must quickly discover a way to slay the mighty warrior. The kill has to go down perfectly - and soon. But another problem arises when one of Kye's most precious possessions is stolen. Caught up in the plot of a secret cult trying to summon the same demon Sir Tom Drake once slew, Kye is faced with a choice: will he fulfill his evil contract to kill a noble knight... or act in the name of good, to stop a dark ritual and perhaps even save an innocent life?

Wulfgard: The Demon's Fang is an exciting standalone novella, a page-turner you'll want to read in one sitting, to introduce one to the world of Wulfgard and some of its important characters.

Although a full story of its own, this novella is also an interquel - it includes a preview chapter from and leads the reader directly into the major novel Wulfgard: Knightfall, the first book in The Prophecy of the Six series: a core series in the Wulfgard universe.

Don't forget to stay caught up on all the action with the dual book release schedule for both The Demon's Fang and Knightfall, the latter being my biggest and most important book release to date (also: werewolves)!

Cursed to Wander

If there was anything Deidre could be sure of in life, it was that she couldn’t be sure of anything. She couldn’t trust people, nor could she trust herself. That was why she was avoiding the foster system these days-- lest she have another ‘outburst.’

Something strange ran in her blood and she knew it. But what it was, she couldn’t tell you. It was something evil and festering, certainly, but the reason for it eluded her. Not that it mattered when she was wandering a small park. Places to sleep could be hotly contested in New York, but this was her spot.

Or so she thought until Deidre spotted a new person on the lonely bench. Her brows furrowed. Didn’t she already chase everyone else away? Who was this kid? Stepping closer, Deidre leaned in to examine. It was a boy close to her age, if she had to hazard a guess. Skinny, glasses, and worn clothes.

Homeless like her?

Whatever. If they had the same problem, he could buzz off or at least explain himself. Tapping into her unholy strength, Deidre gave a hard shove.

“Wake up. You must be new, because people stay away from here.” From me.
