[After the funeral is held and Derin is buried, the knight lingers on, eventually placing a bright red spider lily on the dirt, right before his headstone. She whispers an apology after it, and immediately leaves.
Instead of going to her room, as she had planned to do, she finds herself before the doors of the throne room.
Three soft knocks can be heard.]

[ He allowed her to enter, having retreated from the funeral to the throne room far earlier than expected. He didn't feel good at all. He had cried a lot, unexpectedly.
He's not even sat down, he's... laying there, silent, lower half no longer curled around himself as he would normally. Instead, it is laying on the ground dorsal side up beside him. ]
