Listen, guys. This episode was awful at approaching the dentist.

The syringe.

The needle.

The no use of face mask at the beginning.

The position of the dentist for the treatment.

The way he held the mirror.

The way he held the drill (I guess in the US they call it that way, in my country it's called Turbina or rotatorio).

The stupid things he said about the treatment. About how to do the procedure.

Never even looked an x-ray.

The perfect healthy teeth.

The lack of dental dam to do a fucking root canal. And the other proper tools.

The way he puts the anesthesia.

The evident way the anesthesia doesn't work.

I mean, having a root canal doesn't hurt. If it does, the dentist it's doing it wrong.

Everything was wrong.

How do I know this?

I'm in my last year of Dentistry School (It's called Escuela de Odontología here).

I do these procedures almost every day (we attend patients as a part of our training every day since third year and we do six year total between theory and practice). My patients don't feel any pain. I even use topic anesthetic before the needle so they don't fell the pinch of it.

And I'm tired of Tv demonizing everything related to dentistry. People say "I hate the dentist" to my face all the time knowing what I am. My patients have said this to me. And the bad publicity Tv give us it's not helping.

You may feel pain before going to the dentist but not while you get a treatment done.

It's crazy how far away from reality this is.

And if you have had this Tv kind of experience in real life, get a new dentist cause that it's really not the way of doing it.

If that's the way it's done in the US I'm so sad and sorry for you people.

I had a great day today with my patients and when I get home to finally see the episode the first thing they do it's insult my career of choice. And believe me, I love what I do.

The rest of the episode was fine. Lots of feelings. But I needed to get this off my chest.

If  the pastor is found to be in error than you can help strengthen him and help them on their walk with God. After all they were a sinner in need of a savior just like you.
