it's so difficult to describe what my dissociative disorder can feel like sometimes. i love reading books & comics and watching tv to transport myself into different realities. but when i lay down at night and close my eyes, i genuinely couldn't tell you what world i belong to nor what body i'm in. this life has never felt like mine and the emotional dissociation creates such a disconnect from my sense of self, that i could just as easily open my eyes into a fictional reality as a woman living in the outskirts of a castle as i could wake up in my own. it has little to do with how much i read, as i never truly feel like i'm awake in this reality regardless.
i've never fully been here.
how do i know that i actually exist?
(Also I started blowing up with DID memes on my TikTok so please enjoy!)

What is this? I want that! No fuck that, le- get- mother- tss- Alright. That's it.... Fuck. (There is little tiny pop up noises as the text come up)

Me: *exists*
My (likely dissociative) self: that sounds fake but ok

It really fucking pisses me off that I can’t seem to find anything here I can relate to. I try search for relevant tags but nothing ever really comes of it, just mostly kin shit, which is a completely different thing. Ugh.
