Bound: Getting Over Getting Older All the Time by Distractivate
This was a gift for @sunlightsymphony, who voiced Patrick in the podfic of this gorgeous fic. They know what they did to deserve this. Or will do.
This was a fun one. I used cherry blossoms because they are important to Patrick in this fic. I probably could have used end papers that went better with the front, but OH WELL they're pretty.
I wanted to keep the author notes, which I haven't done with other fics, but these had playlists and other notes relevant to the story, so I set them up as footnotes. It was a bit hacky and it felt like a house of cards that would collapse if I breathed on it changed a single letter. But we got there.
Errors, I made a few, but nothing not fixable. Like putting the bookmark ribbon in on the bottom instead of the top. And then I reprinted the first signature after I decided on cherry blossoms, so I could include them on the title pages, but then I didn't notice until the text block was all sewn that a page in that folio was out of order. Whoops! So I reprinted and glued them in the correct place. It's not very noticeable. I think.
I was super careful with my glue, I wanted to be very neat, and it worked! Gee, who's have thought being slow and deliberate would pay off when working with messy and unforgiving materials?!?
