((When you spend hours on this shit and then last minute brain is like ‘we should completely overhaul her DT design’ so it’s outdated before it’s even finished...But still spent hours on it so it’s coming out anyway. lol  Don’t even know that a partial transformation like this is even a thing that can happen. but oh well. Had fun. Enjoy this shit for what it is XD Also in humoring such a potentially completely nonsensical situation that might put her in this sort of state...after all that shit tbh she’d probably just be lowkey mad that her damn nightclub work clothes and shoes got ruined. lol She’d end up with some experience with looking good on a slim budget but dammit shit can still get expensive.

Devil May Cry ‘verse

. Prompto is a demon. Full blooded hell-spawn, though you’d never know it. In fact, even he forgets from time to time.

. Around Capulet City lived a small cult-like community of demon-loving hippies. They meant well. Mostly. It’s was all about equal rights. Believing that demons, if caught early enough, could be raised to live peacefully among humans. The younglings caught were made to take human forms and taught all about life in the human world. It was great! Except how, like every cult, the higher-ups had more nefarious intentions.

. They wanted to raise their own demon army who would answer to them and do their bidding. They wanted control - over the city, over those in power, over the government, and eventually... over the world. And they would use these caught and conditioned demons to do it.

. Only... it didn’t go as planned. When does it ever? Several of the more dangerous demons broke free and ended up killing most of the cult members, including their leaders, burning their headquarters and all their plans of global domination to the ground.

. Prompto was one of the demons captured at a very young age and forced to take human form. However, being a much smaller and far less threatening demon, he took to human life much more easily, quickly assimilating into his new role. He even had human parental figures who helped raise him, and taught him how to be human. They were sweet. The grew to love him and look on him as a son. 

. They were unfortunately killed when the other demons broke loose, and Prompto realized just how human he had become when he cried over their bodies. They were his family. And from that moment on he developed a deep hatred for demons, swearing to avenge his human mother and father.

. Except... in his human form he is small and frail. And so, so unwilling to transform back into his true demonic shape. So he learns about weapons. About firearms, specifically. Long-ranged so he can stay out of the way.

. Does he tell anybody the truth? About his identity? Of course not. As far as anyone else is concerned, he’s human. That’s all they need to know.

It actually starts with Drew. After the events in Red Grave, he decides to start researching and documenting demonic activity- which leads him to devil hunters, which leads him to Dante and Devil May Cry. He spends a considerable amount of time trying to track down any number of people who’ve made a profession in fighting demons and get interviews with them. 

Charlie ends up along for the ride. They’re something of a dynamic duo- Drew’s the brains and Charlie’s the brawn, but both of them can certainly play the other role if they need to.
