got a question. I don't like disclosing my birth gender but I want opinions.
I went to a Gynecologist because of horrible cramps and a month-long period and typically prolonged amounts of time without a steady period (multiple months at a time) and feared endometriosis.
the doc had me wait in the room ALONE for an hour (I was his last patient there was no way he was busy for an hour I was the only person left in the entire office that he had to care for everyone else was booked for other doctors) after talking to the nurse.
when he finally came in the room he preformed no tests, asked no questions, and told me that I was getting prescribed birth control (which I wasn't even supposed to be prescribed because it apparently negatively affects people with migraines with aura WHICH I HAVE) and when I asked questions he either brushed them off or flat ignored them. he talked to me like 10 mins MAX
first off I've never been to one of these kinds of doctors before (i just turned 18 and my parents never bothered to bring me to a gynecologist) are they just Like That or what? also he made me VERY uncomfortable.
also also, I've been experiencing a cramping sensation where I usually get period cramps, and intense hip pain every time I move as side effects. should I say something or is this normal?
I mean it feels odd I just got a prescription without any tests or even checking if i could take it AT ALL, and the nurse looked genuinely HORRIFIED when she heard my symptoms BUT the doc walked in with like a :| face like he did NOT gaf.
i just wanna know if this seems off to anyone whos went to a gynecologist more than like once yk? i just dont want to feel crazy
