Am I here, in the year 2026, dragging Kibbs ouf of its shallow grave? Why yes, yes, I am. I mean come on, you can't show me drawing someone as a sign of infatuation and don't expect me to start yapping about how Kate was drawing Gibbs three episode after she met him, and apparently kept at it until her murder. COME ON.

The real kicker of that "believing you can fix everything if you explain yourself more and better and better and more" (and also ask for clarification from the other party) is when the incident that prompted the explanation-giving was you yourself being kind of an immature dick at first and jumping to conclusions about something that was said, so you can't entirely blame the other party for taking your clarifications as excuses. Frustrating, but partially self-inflicted in this one case.
