Life tip for success:
Under promise, over deliver.
Feeling really frustrated with my progress today. I want so badly to be in a totally different place in my life. But I'm trying to focus on still behaving differently anyway. I visited my sister yesterday, and I'm about to txt my brother to visit him this week too. Not isolating is a big effort but I know it keeps me from stagnating in the difficult feelings. I'm trying.
Michael, if you had a chance to go back and do things differently, would you take it? And if so, what would you change?
“That is a very complicated question, my friend.”
Michael walks around his desk to gaze out his window. It currently shows the Garden. He smiles at the sight of his siblings, glowing with renewed grace. The healers are working ahead of schedule.
“I was incapable of doing things differently back then. It was part of me–that drive to begin the Apocalypse and end the world. I had to change on a fundamental level before I understood the error of my ways. And I did change, with my Father’s mercy and love.
“But in a hypothetical situation, if I were to go back and replace my former-self, there are many things I would change. Heaven would change. We would stop pooling all our efforts toward destruction and focus on healing.
“It would be a massive undertaking. The Apocalypse did not happen overnight. It was planned for generations–nearly 2000 years of manipulating bloodlines and moving players into place.”
Michael shakes his head. So much time wasted. So many lives lost, both human and angel. He counts them all as his own personal failures.
“We would love humanity again. Protect and cherish them, guide them when they were lost and celebrate their achievements. I would do what I am doing now, and what my Father did for me. I would remind my siblings what it means to be angels.”

No Regrets
What could you do differently? Today’s writing prompt asks us what we could do differently. Being a very adaptable person, I am fairly flexible when life throws me a curveball. It’s probably the day-to-day things that I might change up a bit. As I tend to get bored with routine, I don’t stay long in a daily routine. Whether it’s adding a walk to it, or reading a new book, or trying a new recipe,…

The Third Way
As some of you know, in my personal life, I have been passionate about martial arts for a long time (some 30 years by now). Studying those ancient arts taught me many valuable lessons over the years. One that I was reminded of just this week is the idea of “The third way” in Tai Chi. In my earlier times of practicing the arts, my responses were limited to one of two categories: retreat or…
