Denial is a river in Egypt
Cw for brief dormancy mention(?)
Have been seeing a bunch of anons on this and some otehr blogs saying that their "original" is gone or dormant. As someone who's relatively new to willomancy(even tho it's been 2 years, only around half a year ago I started putting full effort into willo'ing headmate), it makes me kind of uneasy. Is there something I need to keep in mind to be safe from that? Or can this happen only because "original" voluntarily dissipates(?)?
(I'm sorry if that's too rude or weird to ask about, feel free to ignore)
honestly it's hard to navigate questions like this because there's no way for us to know how your system will work.
but if it's comforting, we personally doubt anyone will go dormant unless they particularly want to. while the exact purpose and causes of dormancy vary from person to person, for us personally it's something mostly voluntary or as a result or not wanting to be active/around, and presents as the dormant alter sleeping until they return from dormancy.
with enough work with your inner world it's likely you could decide on these functions for yourself, but it's not something we could ever guarantee because we are not in your head, we don't know you, and there's no way we can realistically tell you what is or isn't going to happen with something this serious.
This ask was answered by Jecka (She/Queen/Fae)!
keep seeing other plurals get headmates back from dormancy while our core is just literally dead dead & gone & it sucks. we don't LIKE Bee or ourselves by any means, but them being dead feels like lugging around a rotting corpse
Are your headspace bodies able to get injured or die?
Yes, and they die forever/go dormant/similar
Yes, but they come back to life some time after they die
Yes, but something else happens if they die
Can only be injured, can't die
Can only die, can't be injured
No

Unknown origin culture is deciding we should stop caring so much about our origins and that we should stop labeling it right before a previous headmate who would've made us question our origins returned from dormancy- glad we don't really have to deal with questioning it now, but what the fuck??? 😭
.
i'm so tired of seeing posts about transandrophobia. it always reminds us of our old host. they were so fucking obsessed with discourse. now they're forever tied to that, i guess. i don't understand why they wasted their time on meaningless internet bullshit like that. i bet it only made them go dormant faster.
Man it’s so weird looking through our simply plural and seeing that so many of the OGs that have been around since our syscovery are dormant now or close to it
Like wdym Night, the oldest of all of us, and dreir entire subsystem are gone?? And Uni and Palette and Flandre and Lust??
Ik it’s a normal thing to happen but. Man.
