Spamtenna-tober; day 1- Big Shots/Tenna
So, made Scrys of the batfamily. And honestly I just love the idea of giant sea dragons, y'know? And dragons in general. So! What if batfamily adoption, but with Fathom dragons!
(Behold, Danny, Sam, Tucker, Val, Ellie & Jazz)
SO ANYWAY! There's multiple ways a prompt of this could go, but I have three main ideas:
Option 1: It is similar to the normal Flight Rising world, where everyone is dragons. And they're in the same universe- that is, DP and DC are one timeline. In which case, the GIW or Fentons or Someone had to do something that sent the lil vigilante hatchlings adrift. Or someone sent them away for their own safety. Which is how they end up in the Gotham waters, which should kill anything else with how poisoned it is. But Amity is getting blasted with death radiation, has gotten pulled into another dimension full of it, that doesn't not have effects. That said the bats were not expecting several hatchlings to be swimming in their territory. Several injured hatchlings who instantly flee from them. Which. Is concerning.
Option 2 Not everyone is dragons. It's more of a dragon-shifter situation. Or a Wayne family curse that doesn't just effect blood-related members but anyone who joins the family. And it could be that it's the same world, or that DP & DC are different worlds. But somehow, maybe while not even in Gotham, at least one of the family stumbles across what should be impossible. Because like, Bruce didn't adopt again did he!? That's definitely several hatchlings, right? Right?! Bruce did not adopt these kids. His father Thomas, remembering two timelines thanks to the whole Flashpoint Fiasco, (and is now doubly traumatized) could not just leave these literal child (teen or no!) vigilantes all alone when he knows ways to help. He just also doesn't have a way to exactly inform any of his living family of this fact, or even thought about how the curse doesn't care if the adopter is in fact dead when they adopt.
Option 3 The same as Option 2, but Ghost Thomas might've perhaps accidentally become ghost king. (Look PK threatened his kids. Hell no.
October 14 & 15: In the Spirit
Also on AO3
Summary:
An akuma on Halloween? Honestly, no one should have been surprised that the city got ghosted. Prompts: "Do we have a plan?" & "It's rather complicated."
Notes:
I leaned I to the Halloween spirit for this one, enjoy!
Paris was a mess. The 'city of light' was nearly unrecognizable, except that there were no other cities being terrorized by Akumas, and what else could do this?
The once lovely city was dark, shrouded in mysterious fog, and some of its most famous landmarks now resembled headstones or mausoleums. Shadows seemed to grow and stretch independent of any identifiable light source.
"I'm not sure which is worse, Halloween or Valentine's Day," Ladybug stated grimly.
"Remember when holidays were fun?" Chat touched down beside her and slung an arm around her shoulders, but she shrugged it off. Even if she weren't into someone else, a dreary landscape filled with specters was hardly the place to kindle affection. Not for her anyway.
"I don't know," Purple Tigress purred, "I kinda like it."
Viperion laughed. "Yeah, I know someone who would get a kick out of this. So, do we have a plan?"
The second day of Objectober and Selfshiptober! Today’s prompts; Stargazing and Relationships!
Snow Angel
I’m doubling up on these two prompts.
Prompt Twenty-four and Twenty-five: (24-25 Dec) Wishes and Snow Day
He knew Pidge preferred the indoors, especially during extreme weather, but they were dating now, and he wanted to do couple-y stuff like play in the snow…
…
Pidge Gunderson crept around the corner, the pats of her feet hitting the floor never betraying her presence.
It was rude to eavesdrop, but then, she wasn’t always a polite person, she supposed.
She strained her ear as her boyfriend began speaking.
“I mean, I know she likes to stay inside with her computers and stuff…” Lance McClain tied his bootlace, pulling the string taught. “And I don’t mind… But every once in a while a want to do some ‘classic’ date activity, you know?”
Hunk Garret hummed in response as he wrapped his yellow scared around his neck. “Someday, buddy. We just need to show Pidge the winter wonder of snowmen and snow angels.”
“She’s a snow angel.” From around the corner, Pidge couldn’t see the pair, but she could feel the goofy smile that would always spread across his face when he got all lovey-dovey.
She adored that smile.
Hunk snorted, “Weren’t we just talking about how she hates snow?”
Lance gave a longing sigh and replied, “Yeah…”
Pidge rather thought Lance was the snow angel in their relationship.
…
Lance felt another snowball smack him in the center of his blue jacket, scattering flakes all over his torso. He grinned from behind his scarf and threw two projectiles at once, one hitting Hunk’s arm – and skewing the larger boy’s aim – the other exploding on Hunk’s forehead.
That’s why he was the “Sharpshooter.” Plus, this was his element: come ice, water, or snow, Lance truly felt at home…
… and he wanted to share that “home” with Pidge…
He blinked out of his thoughts just in time to avoid Hunk’s latest toss. The snowball soared past him and slammed into a snowman, knocking the icy humanoid’s head off.
Both of them laughed, and paused their antics to repair their creation.
Lance was just replacing the carrot nose in the middle of the frozen face when he suddenly found several gallons of snow pelting him in one moment.
He turned around in a flash to see Pidge, decked out in at least three coats, four scarves, two snowcaps and large boots. She was positioned directly behind him, standing on a stool with her hands still raised from where she had dumped the snow onto her boyfriend.
In the ensuing snow war, one thought hept crossing his mind…
“Christmas wishes do come true.”
Write a short description of the thing the you are most afraid to write about, then put it to the side. Make a list of a few people currently in your life that you rely on/ need the most, then circle one. Now write a piece about the person you circled as if they have just passed away and you are at the funeral. When your done go back to the first topic. Maybe it doesn't seem as difficult to write about now. -- inspired by a talk given by poet Bianca Spriggs --
Together or not at all & The Crash// Thompsonred
"On this day, October 29, 1929, the stock market has crashed! I repeat the stock market has-!" Jay picked up and threw the radio across the room, making a noise of triumph as it crashed into the wall and fell to the floor in a million pieces. This had to be some mistake! This....all of his money was in the stocks! "No...please no...." He was ruined, no...he was broke.
