Danny Phantom : Yeti Spaghetti
Danny glares at the mirror. Something is different but he really can't put his finger on it. Something about his face. Maybe his acne has turned into ghost acne or something but he can't see any spots. Opening his mouth, he glares at his teeth. Maybe they're a little sharper?
A knock on the door startles him from his glaring.
"C'mon Danny! I need to comb my hair! We're going to be late to school if you don't hurry up!"
Danny whips the door open, still wrapped in a towel from his shower and points to his teeth, "Jazz, do my teeth look sharper?"
"UGH DANNY!!! Can't you get dressed before asking that?" Jazz fumes, crossing her arms and tapping her foot while focusing on Danny's canines. She tilts her head and loses the angry expression.
"I guess so? Just the canines...Maybe the lateral incisor. Why? Did you file them down or something?"
"What? No! Why would I file my teeth? I'm enough of a freak as is, I don't need sharper teeth."
Danny closes the door and gets dressed, "Right. Because my extra-curriculars are definitely that of a normal, non-freaky freshman."
Danny is currently freaking out a little bit. There are white streaks all over his scalp. If he hadn't already asked Frostbite if he was getting older or something and gotten Frostbite's "No Great One, You are simply getting stronger and your human body is dealing with the stress safely" he might have skipped school and run to the Far Frozen.
Lifting the tuft of white hair, he examined his roots. It was white all the way and Danny's eye twitched. He just wanted to be a normal kid, with a normal life while he fought ghost crime on the side. Was that too much to ask?! Apparently. Sam thought it was cool and Tucker had laughed, calling Danny "Silver Fox" for a week before Danny tackled him in the new Denny's parking lot.
The A-listers got a kick out of it until Phantom said he liked Danny's new look. That started a few fads of Paulina with streaks of gone-wrong blonde bleach and Dash with some dirty brown patches.
Jazz was still pretty worried about the sudden change in his hair though and taught him to dye it black so their parents wouldn't catch on.
Danny huffs, staring at the root before reaching under the sink and pulling out the dye bowl. The dye bottle was almost empty.
Danny had always been short. His mom always said that it was the only he got from her. That and her brain. Jazz had also gotten Mom's brain, but Dad's height. Jazz is tall and Danny short, that's just the truth of the world.
Until his pant legs start getting short. He didn't really notice it at first. He'd had those jeans since middle school so it was just time to get some new ones. Then one of his shirts got mixed in with the jumpsuits and it shrank in the watch. Then his shoes got tight.
He only really noticed how tall he'd gotten when he had to look down at Sam while she was wearing some of her shorter platforms. She'd always been taller than him and he was not going to be the to break the news. That was Tucker's job.
Come his 16th birthday, his mom was very shocked to watch him grab a box of cereal from the top shelf. Jazz, now just reaching the bottom of his chin. Her kids were growing up so fast! Danny was cursing the height now, as he hit his head on the light fixture above the table one too many times, as Jazz laughed herself to the floor.
Danny's head is absolutely pounding and it isn't because of his lack of sleep schedule. He got a whole 4 hours last night, thank you very much Jazz. He really can't put words to how harsh the pain is. He can't even explain it well enough to Jazz that this pain is NOT a headache. It's causing a headache, sure, but it's not a headache.
As he stares at the mirror in the bathroom, feeling around his head. He can feel a bump growing on his head. He did fight Skulker last night and was thrown into a building so maybe that was the cause, but he's never had simple injuries like that stick around before...Eh. He's sure it will go away by the time he gets to school, elevated healing for the win!
It did NOT go away and now he is crumpled on the floor of the accessibility stall in Casper High, pressing his head to the cool tiles on the floor. He honestly couldn't care less that it was disgusting to be there. He tried to aim for the furthest tiles from the toilet when he fainted. The bump on his head is larger and now there's a second one, on the other side of his head.
He tries touching the bumps, but a sharp jolt of Blood Blossom level pain zaps through his body, forcing a shout of agony from him. He thinks Tucker had come in at some point but the pain is just too much to keep his head on straight. The pain spreads across his back, veins of poison stretching through his limbs. He cracked his eye open, staring as his nails turned black and the hairs on his arm turned white. He couldn't transform here, not now.
Danny's yanked from his downward spiral by a hand on his shoulder.
Something in his core jolts and he finds himself across the stall, plastered between the toilet and the wall. Jazz stares at him from where she had been crouched next to him. He blinks and minutely relaxes, but stays where he is. Jazz has both her hands up, as if calming down a crazy, feral animal. His eyesight is getting blurry and another strike of pain shatters his thought process as he lists forward. The world goes dark.
~
Jazz hadn't expected something like this to happen. Sure Danny had been going through changes, which were completely natural for a boy his age, but that was all she had to worry about. Until Sam and Tucker burst into her TA class period.
"What the- Sam? Tucker!? What is going on? Why are you out of class?" Jazz exclaims, standing up from the teacher's desk.
"Jazz! Something's going on with Danny!" Sam shouts, holding Tucker up as he leans over his knees wheezing. "He's not answering us or letting us in!"
Jazz's heart freezes, she barely glances at Mr. Lancer before crossing the room. She tries to keep the terror off her face but she must fail as Sam's eyes start to reflect the fear back. She was the oldest of Team Phantom, not counting the ghosts. She was supposed to be the cool, calm, and collected one. Sam looked up to her, Tucker respected her, and Danny relied on her.
Taking a breath, she wiped the fear from her face, placed her hands on Sam's shoulders and said calmly, "Show me where he is."
They start running across the halls, getting a few shouts from straggling students and hall monitors. Jazz wasn't expecting to be led to the boy's bathroom, but a shout of pain had her forgetting any sort of gender expectations. She rounds the wall and quickly looks under all the doors until she sees Danny's backpack on the floor of the biggest stall.
"Danny!? Danny, are you in there?!" Jazz shouts, pounding on the door and trying to see through the cracks in the stall. Another cry of pain from her brother stops her voice. She pushes Tucker and Sam back behind her before kicking the lock of the door. It bends the first time but doesn't give. The second kick sends the door swinging into the stall wall.
Her brother is crumpled on the ground, shivering as he pulls himself closer to the tiled floor. He looks awkward on the floor, his growth spurt still affecting his self-awareness. If Jazz didn't recognize the clothes he'd worn that morning, she would have thought he'd transformed in the bathroom. His hair was completely white, despite the dye job they had just done that week. His skin had a blue tint.
When Jazz reached out to him, hoping to comfort, find out what was wrong, ANYTHING other than standing in the door way, he whipped away from her, crouching by the toilet in the back corner. She froze and the best friends of her baby brother gasped.
Danny's face, while recognizable, was completely different. His eyes and sclera were fully green and his teeth, both the canines and incisors, had gotten even sharper than when he asked all those weeks ago.
That was semi-normal for Danny. He'd gone feral before but he'd never grown fur before. The fur was a blueish-gray color, coarsely blending into his white hair and stretching down his neck. His arms were also furred, with his nails having grown into long black claws and his fingers colored navy blue. His ears had grown longer and pointed, getting darker blue near the ends.
"It's okay Danny. It's me, Jazz. It's your big sister. You're okay. We're going to figure this out." Jazz leans forward, crouching/kneeling on the hard floor as she holds her hands up. She stares at him, taking in all of the body language he was giving off. He was scared and confused. His eyes were blurry, glazing over with pain as he starts to tire.
Jazz scrapped her knees against the exposed grout on the tile, darting forward to catch Danny before he could properly fall. She feels something wet on her shoulder, where Danny's head ended up. Looking down at her brother, Jazz is horrified to see two small, blue horns sticking out of the bleach white locks on his head. He looks like...
She sucks in a sharp breath. Jazz stares at her brother, trying desperately to keep her breathing even. He looks like Frostbite.
She clenches his jacket in her hand and looks behind her at the pale faces of Sam and Tucker. Tucker has his arm around Sam's shoulder, her hand clutching his for comfort.
"We need to get to the Far Frozen." Careful of the newly grown, and very sharp, horns, Jazz pulls Danny onto her back. She readjusts and then walks between Sam and Tucker, prompting the newly traumatized children to follow her. They run through the school halls again, Jazz shouting at anyone in the halls to "CLEAR THE WAY!"
Sam runs ahead of Jazz, holding the door open for the red-head and Tucker as they run to Jazz's beat up van in the parking lot. She sets Danny in the back, between Sam and Tucker, handing Sam her jacket.
"Keep that on his head, try to stop the bleeding." Sam, somehow growing even paler, nods and starts to wrap the thin white fabric around Danny's head and horns. Jazz hands Tucker a brown paper bag as the boy starts to breath harder. She sets her hand on his cheek and shoulder.
"Focus on your breath, Tuck. He'll be ok." Tucker stares at her, looks at Danny, and nods hesitantly.
The drive to the Fenton household is about 10 minutes quicker than if Jack Fenton had driven. Pulling up to the curb, Jazz slams the car into park, yanks out the key and pushes open the side doors to help Sam put Danny on Jazz's back again. With her two younger pseudo-sibling/friends running behind her, she doesn't even bother checking where her parents are in the house. Hopefully, they're hunting some sort of ectoplasmic grave a million miles away.
She takes the stairs two at a time, pushing the button to the open the door. Jazz immediately takes Danny to where the Specter Speeder is parked. She buckles Danny onto the gurney in the Speeder as Sam takes driver's seat and Tucker takes navigation right beside her. As Jazz jumps out to open the portal doors, the lab door opens.
Her parents walk into the lab, instantly noticing the stain of green blood on Jazz's shoulder and the portal open. Something dangerous flashes in their eyes and Maddie settles into a fighting position.
"Jazmine Rose Fenton, what exactly do you think you are doing?" Maddie demands, taking in the whole scene. Jack Fenton stands shock still, unable to formulate a thought about what is happening. Maddie sees Sam and Tucker in the Speeder, flipping switches and notices Danny's flickering form on the gurney.
Something flips in her mother and Maddie growls, "Jazmine! What are you doing helping that ghost scum!? You know how hard your father and I have been trying to catch Phantom for two years and you've been helping him escape!?"
Jazz's eyes narrowed. She slams her hand into the button to open the portal doors and shouts, "NOW SAM!"
The Specter Speeder starts up, vibrating then taking off towards the portal. Maddie pulls out her ghost weapons, firing them off at the Speeder. Jazz throws a ghost net at her parents as she runs to intercept the Speeder. She dives into the open door, blasted slightly off course by the ectoplasm shot from Maddie, and crashes into the driving seat. As Sam aims the Speeder for the portal door, Jazz bolts up and reaches the door, briefly seeing the confusion on her father's face and the anger on her mother's before yanking the door closed as another shot is charged up.
They're safe in the Ghost Zone.
"Tucker, mark a course for the Far Frozen. Sam, try to get as close as you can. Freeze the engine if you have to. We won't make it far by foot without any gear."
"We may have to go through aggressive haunts..." Tucker whispers, pulling up the ever changing map of the Zone to see where haunts have moved.
"They can try to attack us. We've got enough ammo to get through them."
Jazz sucks in a breath slowly, turning from the windshield to check on her brother, still strapped to the gurney, groaning. His eyes are screwed close in pain and the horns look a little longer. Maybe the claws are longer? There're too many unknowns for Jazz to properly comfort Sam, but she tries.
"Y-Yeah, Sam...He's doing okay. He's going to be okay. Just...Going through Ghost Puberty or something. Frostbite will have the answers."
Tucker speaks up, "I've got a lock on the Far Frozen. We only need to go through the Lunch Lady's and Ember's haunts. They shouldn't cause us too much trouble."
"Sam, follow the path. Go as fast as this thing can go, you know it and this place better than I do. I trust you two."
The teens look at Jazz and nod. This was not what Jazz thought she'd be doing today.
She's going to strangle Frostbite if he or his tribe gave Danny some sort of Yeti-Pneumonia.

So that was longer than I thought it would be...I started this at 11 and it is now 2:30am. We're here for a fun angsty time, not a long time. May the angst be with you and all that.
I was just looking at my Tumblr and saw someone make a Danny Phantom as a Minecraft Phantom and started thinking about Yeti-Danny....I've never seen anything like this before so hopefully it catches onto your creative little brains and you can't think of anything else until you put this idea on paper or draw it.
For reals though, if you like this idea and want to use it, please just let me know and credit me for the idea because I would LOVE to see it!
