i never see positivity posts for people living with DPRD so reminder for all my fellow chronically dissociated folks that if you:
talk to yourself out loud to ground yourself, or just on accident
feel distant or a completely separate person from who you once were
genuinely don't know what day of the week it is, or what month, or what year and feel odd when people joke about that or exaggerate their experience with it
see yourself in 3rd person at times or often
can't get enough sleep because living through near-constant (or constant) dissociation is fucking exhausting
need reminders that you are real, that this world is real
experience more/other DPRD-related behaviors/feelings/experiences
you are valid. if you ever need someone to talk to, i know a fair amount about DPRD from experience and research, and you can ALWAYS shoot me an ask.
and if you need to hear it, this is your reminder, or your sign, or whatever you want to call it, that you are real. this is your body. the world around you is real, and it is yours. you are in the right place. take care of yourself <3
