My comments on my first viewing of Wicked: For Good (not chronological) INCREDIBLY SPOILERY
Elphaba with a whip and surfing on the broomstick oh lord
THE FLASHFOWARD (or vision??) OF FIYERCROW AND ELPHABA IN THE BADLANDS.
Fiyero seeing Elphaba (very quick side eye) in the foliage and then telling the others that there isn't anyone there. Oh he definitely saw her. Emphasizes the concept that he helped her escape before Wonderful and the wedding and such even happened
They didn't have the "not you too" line after Wonderful, but Elpaba slams her fists and such after she thinks Fiyero is aligned with Glinda and the Wizard and says something akin to "not you too," though I can't remember the exact line
Nothing in support of or against Fiyero being aware of the Animals- honestly, leaning more towards against because he doesn't even say, "there's a goat on the lamb, sir."
Glinda told Fiyero and Elphaba to leave and then they ran away
Also got rid of the "it was like that," he was just silent iirc
Very very little Fiyero devolpment. All the fandom wars over "did he torture Animals" and "was he afraid of telling Glinda the truth because of how she would react" will continue
Did develop Boq and Nessa tho!

Does Jon M. Chu hate Feldspur or something???? Four total appearnces- once behind Fiyero then immediately being riden by him and then Glinda riding him to and fro. Not even one line.
Ending w/ Glinda welcoming the Animals back in takes a lot away from the political tragedy. It would take years to undo propaganda that, according to Dr. Dillamond, had begun before they were born. Makes her changing better if she had to put in tremendous amounts of work, too, versus it all reversing like a snap

Oh Fiyero definitely knew he was going to die when he told Elphaba to leave. He knew he was cooked. Gave up very quickly.
The concept of the glimpses of Fiyero being tortured in black and white to symbolize Elphaba embracing herself as The Wicked Witch we all know from TWOO, which starts as black and white. I know it's not actually black and white (sepia?) but yeah
Sorry but the Monkeys putting the cape on Elphaba just looked like the Megamind Black Mamba scene. Loved it tho

I think it tried to imply Fiyero was a brand new Head Guard, and Morrible immediately cloqued that he was about to defend Elphaba and shut him up. "Newly appointed" or something

I loved how the Monkeys took Morrible off, very satisfying and I can almost forgive Glinda for telling Morrible and the Wizard how to capture Elphaba because of it
Fiyero turning his head towards where the Animals and Elphaba were before Glinda b/c he senses her more (her magic attached to him, see post here for reference on my opinion of her magic)
The ily was cute but I honestly thought that it would be Glinda whispering "I love you" to Elphaba in the final shot mirroring the Broadway poster with the hand and shit. I prefer my version.
Maybe I need to re-listen but GITB was not what people cracked it out to be. I made a post saying Glinda should sing a line similar to Elphaba's "Nessa, Dr. Dillamond, Fiyero... FIYEEEEEEROOOOO" to mirror how that's Glindas point of caring about being good versus Elphaba no longer caring about being good, but they didn't. :(
I know Wicked was complete before Trump took presidency, but wow, a lot of Elphaba talking about fighting for Oz hit home
I know everyone says they could've been a better director, but I genuinely think I could've done this better. Honestly, I've been torn between film, environmental science, and geology for a while now, I might just persue film to redo this but with more book tie-ins (I say as I have never read the book. but I would make Fiyero black with long hair and give him back the tats so yeah. also Elphaba gets sharp teeth)
