DM: You can’t come any closer to the village right now. It seems they want you to introduce yourselves.

Aphil (half-elf druid): I tap my chest. “Aphil Drakkath, the 14th Wall.”

DM: The largest one in the centre copies you. “Barking Seal.”

Aphil: So far so good. “We are here to search for-”

Cressida (aasimar warlock): *mimes searching*

Aphil: “-a tiefling-”

Cressida: *mimes horns on head*

Aphil: “-who is studying the Draakhorn-”

Cressida: *mimes blowing, with sound effect*

Aphil: I didn’t realise you were miming until you made that noise. I turn and glare at you.

Cressida: What? I thought some visuals might help since we know we don’t share a language...

DM: The kobolds are very wary. “What are you doing here?”

Aphil (half-elf druid): We want to kill Arauthator, rescue Makath, and steal the Draakhorn. Can you give us directions?

Cressida (aasimar warlock): *facepalms*

DM: There’s a pause, and then they all bolt for the far door.

Aphil: Ah.

Cressida: Yeah, that’s exactly what I thought was going to happen when you said that.

DM: Roll initiative.

Tati (playing Cressida): All I’m saying is, if Makath doesn’t want to be rescued she can just screw herself. We were looking for her so we could find the Draakhorn, but it’s not here any more. She’s no wiser to its whereabouts than we are.

Hamish (playing Sett): She knows more about it than anyone, she’ll still be helpful.

Tati: Maybe.

DM: Your quest is to rescue her.

Tati: But she doesn’t want to be rescued.

DM: She’d love to be rescued, she just doesn’t think it’s possible.

Tati: Then maybe she should stop antagonising the only people willing to try!

DM: Leosin asks you, “Are you all ready to go after the Draakhorn? Do you recall the situation?”

Ginquee (tortle monk): I could do with a refresher.

Cressida (aasimar warlock): You could do with a refresher on most things, Gin.

Aphil (half-elf druid): Because you don’t remember your life prior to meeting us.

Ginquee: *purses lips*

DM: One of the quests you need to go on is to seek the Draakhorn in the Sea of Moving Ice. They’ll provide a boat for you-

Bri (half-elf cleric): *sits up straight*

Sett (human wizard): Ooh, Captain Sternbow.

Bri: Captain Sternbow is my mother, call me Bri.

Cressida (aasimar warlock): So why did you come to Oyaviggaton?

Makath the Crimson: To find the Draakhorn.

Cressida: And did you?

Makath: Yes. It was here until recently.

Ginquee (tortle monk): What happened to it?

Makath: Representatives from the Cult of the Dragon came to negotiate. I guess they were successful, because they left with the ‘Horn.
