This is essentially my notes for the whole fic, I am laying my heart and soul out bear for all to see and all I humbly beg for is mercy
I dont plan on having any romantic endeavors in this fic, just pure fluff and bonding with dragons. At no point in this fic will Sun or Moon turn into anything humanoid.
My rule of thumb for that is, a hierarchy of intelligence/consciousness. You may go down, but you cannot go up. This means a human may turn into (transfigure) a rabbit, but a rabbit may not turn into a human. This is a sticky situation with dragons, because I imagine them to have similar if not higher intelligence than humans, but for the sake of simplicity, I will liken them to dolphins.

Normal color is just general information that doesn't pertain much to the plot of the story

Basic plot Summary like you'd find on the back of a book:
Assistant barn manger turned assistant dragon trainer, you find yourself suddenly in charge of a barn full of dragons, and on top of that, its your job to rehabilitate and train the two newest ones.
More detailed plot summary:
Sun and Moon are dragons rescued from a circus that had just shut down. (Once I actually finish their designs Ill show you bc im not describing all of that rn) Through circumstances and Nepotism, you scored (were forced into) the job of rehabilitating and training them for the Empire. You quickly realize that the current barn manager is nothing more than lazy, good for nothing, wanna-be, and you, having a bleeding heart, cant stand by and watch these poor dragons not being treated correctly. Eventually through bonding and shenanigans, you gain yourself two dragon familiars.
The reader has some plot in this fic, mainly just backstory, and the fact that their parents kinda have some plot significance...
Mainly the mother, because she is a conniving bitch, idk how much im going to actually use of this though, because you came to read this fic for Dragon Sun and Dragon Moon, not some random fictional bitch of a mother. Unfortunately, I am not good at making compelling characters-

THE SETTING
The universe is a fantasy universe, it has plenty of other mystical creatures and species in it, and I've actually thought about making this universe and the Fey universe the same- as of now its TBD.
That being said there is magic in the universe, humans can utilize magic, and it can be learned to a certain extent, its as much generational as it is randomly picked, but those born with more magical affinity typical are stronger in their magics. Magic in this universe is a mix of witchcraft and wizardry, with different distinctions based on what type of magic you are proficient in. There are also elemental affinities as well.
There are different rankings, going from, In depending order S A B C D E F, there are subclasse of +/-. For example, in the A tier, you may be classified as a A+, A or A-. Only high level magics academy's care about the sub classes. Magical affinity has nothing to do with hierarchy in this universe, but it does provide an advantage.
The readers lore is that they grew up on a horse farm with their father, and because said father is an alcoholic, the reader eventually(in all sense except paper) takes over as barn manger. But they mainly oversee rehabilitation part of things, as this is their job. The reader is classified as a B+ mage with an affinity in wind and water.
The readers mother, a narcissistic bitch of a woman, is in the grand council, and is the main reason they got the job at the dragon barn in the first place. There were 100% ulterior motives in doing this. (A position increase perhaps, there may be a redemption arc yet...)
The Faz Empire:
This is basic DnD fantasy monarchy type stuff, the Empire the reader resides in is the Faz Empire, currently ruled by William Afton, with his two sons Evan Afton and Michael Afton
The Empire is currently in shambles, and preparing for a war (Arch 3) but they're keeping it on the down-low bc they dont want widespread panic (yeah, works out about as well as you think it does)
The war is with, you guessed it, the Murray Kingdom (wowowow I am SO clever with names. THANK you SO much for poiting that out 🥰)
A sure victory against this small kingdom goes south when they suddenly begin getting the upper hand (youll NEVER guess what the upper hand is) in the silent battles they've been having, and its getting harder to explain why so many of FAZ soldiers aren't coming back home. (This explains why the Empire has been putting so much pressure on the Dragon Branch after so long)
Afton: Cannon typical...idk what else to say about it, this man is despicable, dumb, and stupidly lucky. (If that's what you wanna call it)
Michael: Pre teen bitch of a man that cant even fathom lifting his own fingers to pick his own godamned nose, the definition of spoiled, this wet sock fuck is unfortunately your boss, the barn Manager, and you want nothing but to see him dead on the floor.
But WAIT there's MORE!!!!
Suffering from a dysfunctional family and dealing with the fact that his father went ape shit, on top of the fact that he's the reason for disabling his younger brother. Yeah, the odds are stacked against him. Despite this, he decides to make ONE (1) good decision. This doesn't excuse his behavior at all.
I wanna make him like, gross. Like I have the funny idea of making the relationship between theese two (Michael and the Reader) complete and under misunderstanding, purley because this egocentric dumbass has never heard the word No in his life. The misunderstanding, is however, Micheal full on hitting on the reader because he believes they are playing hard to get, and the reader just genuinely hating this man's guts. This is not enemies to lovers. There is no romance in this fic.

Arc 1 synopsis:
This is mainly the reader gaining the trust of the boys, getting used to working for the Empire and general silliness
Arc 2 synopsis:
This really is just a brigde for Arc 3, because I didnt wanna throw a whole ass war out of nowhere, so this one mainly the reader furthering the bond with the boys, and by that I mean this is the training arc.

Im not writing a whole ass war, so instead! The reader shall defect and fight their own battles! Since they (the reader) betrayed their Empire, they are now homeless!!! But how homeless are you when you have not one, but TWO whole dragons by your side?!?! (A home is not the house, but rather the people who are in it[I suppose it would be dragons but who's talking semantics rn]) <The answer is still very homeless>
Im horrible at conclusions, to be honest, so besides just going, and they lived happily ever after, not entirely sure what the conclusion is...
Any plot holes are done 100% totally absolutely on purpose and are placed with great care and precision and not there because I am an individual suffering from the attention span of an iPad kid... totally
