Poppy was out of touch with the world and regular life for a while due to a kidnapping incident when he was younger, so he’s a bit unsure of what he wants to do and has developed a slight rebellious streak. Seeing how unsure Poppy was, Laurel just decided to drag him along as his traveling buddy and get him to join the League Challenge with him. As Laurel had already traveled in Unova, Poppy starts out in Kalos alongside his twin.

While Poppy loves dragon-types like his parents and most of his pokémon (the one exception really being his Hattrem) are dragons. This leads to quite a few arguments with Laurel, who thinks dragon-types are overrated and refuses to use any on his team. Poppy is continuously scandalized by this horrifically bad take from his own twin brother of all people. (Further proof that tall people are evil.)

Poppy’s nickname comes from an inside joke with some of his friends back when he was in middle school, so most adults don’t really call him that. He’s fine being called Aspen, but will introduce himself as Poppy, so it’s generally his preferred name. He gives a different story every time when asked where the nickname originated from.

Pokemon Next-Gen (Movie Kids): Harmony Walcott

Harmony is the daughter of Iris and Benga. Harmony is surprisingly calmer than her high energy parents but she still got her parents’ love of nature and Dragon types. Harmony didn’t know what she wanted to do when she got her first Pokemon, in an attempt to have some kind of guidance her parents enrolled her in Opelucid Academy. She really enjoyed her time at the academy, one day her class took a field trip to PokeStar Studios so they can see how the movies and TV shows are made. While looking around, Harmony got separated from her class and had wandered into a part of the studio where they kept the costumes, as a joke she put on a shrine maiden costume and was enjoying how it felt to wear it. Her fun was cut short when she heard something outside and she quickly ran out only to see a Mega Charizard X Mecha getting out of control, thinking fast she sent out her Pokemon to stop the mecha from destroying everything and to prevent it from hurting people, as she was doing this a camera crew had been recording her actions. After the mecha was damaged enough to finally stop moving everyone around her started cheering for her and thanking her, she was then approached by White and was offered an acting role, with permission from Drayden she happily accepted. While Harmony is calmer than her parents, she still does get excited when she really gets to know someone or if they’re talking about something she really likes, Harmony can be a bit shy but she’s also an experienced battler due to how she was raised to battle with her Dratini since they were both young. She also can connect with Dragon-type Pokemon much like her mother, to the point, she can understand what they’re saying she can do the same with Dragon-like Pokemon or Pokemon who gain the Dragon typing through an evolution like Swablu or through a Mega Evolution like Ampharos. She’s close friends with Corvin, Mathis, Opal, Alistair, Cressida, and Sapphire. The show she stars in is about a Shrine Maiden how has to protect her village from any kind of foreign invaders with her Dragon-type Pokemon.

Her main colors are green and magenta. From green, she’s the peacemaker of the group, wanting to make sure everyone is getting along and she tries to break up fights. Green represents her love for nature and her love for her friends and her family, it also represents her generous side as she’s always sharing what she has with the other kids. She also has a strong sense of right and wrong and will see both sides of any situation and will always take the moral stand, it helps that she has the mental clarity and optimism of yellow and the calm emotional insight of blue which helps inspire hope and her generosity. Green also represents how she’s nurturing to her Pokemon and her friends, as well as how she’s sympathetic and compassionate. From magenta, she’s cheerful and happy, it also represents her free spirit and how she wanted to create her own path in life instead of following what her parents were doing, it also helps with her negotiating skills and it inspires positive change.

Her Pokemon:

Dragonite- Dragonite was given to Harmony by the village elder when he was a Dratini and when Harmony was five years old, at first Harmony was wondering why she was given a Dratini at her young age. The elder said that she figured that if anyone would be a good partner for Harmony it would be the Dratini she received. While they were both still young, Harmony and Dratini started training against wild Pokemon and other trainers, it wasn’t long until Dratini had evolved into Dragonair when Harmony was seven years old, much to the amazement of Harmony. It wasn’t until she was fourteen that Dragonair had evolved into Dragonite. As a Dratini, Dragonite was a little nervous but he was determined to get stronger so he took his training with Harmony seriously and did everything she wanted him to do and when he had evolved into Dragonair, he felt proud of himself and was glad he had become a lot stronger than he was before. Now as a Dragonite, he’s even prouder that he evolved for himself and for Harmony, Dragonite is a very proud but modest Pokemon. While he is glad that he went from a small Dratini to a strong Dragonite, he knows that the only reason he made it so far was because of the training he went through with Harmony and how she was there to take care of him when he felt sick or sore from training, as such he’s incredibly loyal to Harmony and is the first to protect her should any kind of danger come her way. He stays out of his Pokeball.

Moves are Dragon Rush, Dragon Dance, Rain Dance, Hurricane, Hyper Beam, Dragon Claw, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Flamethrower, and Draco Meteor.

Gabite- Harmony had caught Gabite while she was exploring a cave, she had heard a rumor about a foreign Dragon-type Pokemon in a cave that was defeating other trainers who tried to catch it. So she went there to see if maybe she can catch the foreign Pokemon, she found the Gabite standing on a rock and he challenged Harmony’s Dragonair to a battle which he accepted. After a long battle, Gabite had gained respect for Harmony and her Dragonair and allowed her to catch him. Gabite is a very proud Pokemon, while he does think that he doesn’t need a trainer he was curious to see how trainers would try and weaken and catch him, it was because of the many challenges that he evolved into Gabite in the first place. He felt bored and disappointed after the battles had gotten easier after he had evolved when he battled against Harmony’s Dragonair he finally felt like he found someone who understood him and worthy to be his trainer. He does respect Harmony and Dragonair and the respect only grew after Dragonair had evolved into Dragonite, he waits for the day he can become a Garchomp and mega evolve. He has some scars on his body.

Zweilous- Zweilous was untrusting of humans and he refused to get close to humans, but that didn’t stop Harmony from trying to reach him and to get him to open up to him. He soon got so tired of her trying to talk to him that he started attacking her out of anger to get her to finally leave him alone, even though she was injured she still wanted to help him and get him to open up so he told her. He told her about his previous trainers and how all of them didn’t have the patience to actually train him and expected him to be strong right when they received him, he did have one trainer who trained him enough to get him to evolve but that trainer ditched him after he evolved, replacing him with another Pokemon and returning him to the Village of Dragons. After he vented out everything, Harmony started apologizing for how bad he had it and said that she thought he was an amazing Pokemon and everyone should have treated him better. Once he realized that Harmony wasn’t as bad as his old trainers and he decided to be part of her team. Zweilous has some anger issues, but that’s only if he’s near other humans and he only glares at them or tries to bite them. Despite that, he is a loyal Pokemon to Harmony and will do whatever she asks, he also greatly enjoys acting in a TV show with Harmony and he finds her role to be very fun.

Moves are Crunch, Dragon Pulse, Fire Fang, Zen Headbutt, Dark Pulse, Beat Up, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Dragon Tail and Hyper Voice.

Hakamo-o- Harmony had caught Hakamo-o after a very long battle between him and Gabite. Hakamo-o enjoyed the battle so much that he pretty much let himself get caught, Harmony had tripped over something in an attempt to not get hit by an attack and one of her Ultra balls fell out of her bag, that was when Hakamo-o let himself get caught by tapping himself against the Ultra ball much to Harmony’s surprise. Hakamo-o is very battle-hungry, he loves a good challenge and a good battle between either another Dragon-type or another Fighting-type for the fun of it. Something else he likes to clang his scales in while dancing before every battle he takes part in, Harmony will often mimic his dance while she’s taking part in her TV show as she feels like it’s appropriate for her role, Hakamo-o doesn’t mind her mimicking his war dance, he’s actually proud that he has a trainer that wants to copy his war dance. Hakamo-o takes great pride in any and all battles he takes part in, he also doesn’t care if the scales on his arms break or fall off as it means he fought a good battle he also is glad that Harmony takes the scales and uses them for her costume instead of throwing them away he gets more excited when he hears his former scales clanging on her costume as she mimics his war dance.

Altaria- Altaria was a Swablu when she first saw Harmony, she was always watching Harmony train with her Dragonite and her other Pokemon. She wanted to go and join them but she was afraid that she wouldn’t be accepted since she wasn’t a Dragon-type Pokemon, with her mind made up she started training herself to evolve so she can join Harmony’s team. She finally reached her goal and evolved, the first thing she wanted to do after she evolved was to find Harmony and ask to be a part of her team. When she spotted Harmony, she was in the middle of production and was supposed to struggle against her mock opponent, however, Altaria thought the scene was real and ended up helping Harmony as a way to prove to her that she was strong like the other members of Harmony’s team. Much like Corvin with his Stoutland, Harmony had to adlib the situation which she managed to do easily thanks to her quick thinking. Harmony did end up catching Altaria since she spent so much time to train herself to evolve for her. Altaria is a hard-working Pokemon, she always gives it her all and always does her best. She’s also kind and gentle as she does take time to give Harmony and her friends some much needed relaxing time after a long day of their work.

Moves are Dragon Breath, Sing, Dragon Pulse, Moonblast, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, Dragon Claw, Sky Attack, Ice Beam, and Flamethrower.

Flygon- Flygon was given to be in Harmony’s care due to being fearful of human, something about Harmony made Flygon trust her as such she only wants to be near Harmony. Flygon is very shy and nervous, it also takes a while for her to warm up to someone be it another human or another Pokemon, so far she gets along with Harmony’s Altaria but that’s about the only other Pokemon she’ll find herself close to or want to open up to. While she is nervous about other humans, she still will do what she can to help Harmony with her job as an actress, sometimes she’ll act with Harmony and other times she’ll do special effects.
