I recently read your book in one day and its so confusing but i love it? I don't get a lot of the things it talks about when it gets technical, but Its inspired me to take a linguistics course at my local university (if they'll accept me) so i can maybe get a more basic understanding for some of the concepts. Thank you so much for creating all the beautiful languages you have and I hope to one day be as good at creating them as you are. Thank you so much!
Some things it helps to hear them again and again in different contexts and presented in slightly different ways. I remember the first time I took my graduate morphology class taught by Farrell Ackerman, the ideas and concepts were so new and so different from what I’d learned that I just decided to go ahead and take the class again. I understood everything and did well enough: I just wanted to hear it again to really kind of fold it into my life. Worked out well. Anyway, if you get a chance to take a course in linguistics, maybe that’ll help it click, and you can revisit the book again and it’ll further reinforce. Either way, hope you have fun! Studying languages changed my life. Never looked back. :)
