"so, how many of... these... am i supposed to have before something happens?" she asked the nearest person, eyes focused on the liquid inside the glass as she swirls it around, brows furrowing. yet another part of this whole... 'hide among humans and act like them' experience. she's on her... what? 4th glass? and yet, nothing. unlike some of the people she saw in this place. "i heard it's supposed to have some kind of effect, but i just feel tingly. does that mean it's working?"

So...S got a DUI. I witnessed (mostly heard) the interaction from the point she was pulled over until the cops put her in a squad car. It was fucking terrifying to be able to hear everything but not see and to know that she is a young, black woman having an interaction with multiple white officers. Thank god everything went okay and she was bailed out 5 hours after she was taken to jail. She’s meeting with a lawyer right now. The cost will likely be $10,000+. Plus there’s the whole having a DUI on her record thing. Basically, I’m just so worried for her and her future. I wish that this could be the experience that pushes her into getting treatment but honestly I don’t think it will be. She’s an alcoholic. She knows it. I know it. But until she’s ready to seek treatment or hits rock bottom (hopefully the former happens and eliminates the latter), nothing is going to change. Idk. I’m very anxious about everything right now. Any mention of cops or drinking or DUIs or being pulled over or licenses or really anything related to this incident puts me very much on edge. Please be patient with me right now.

Looking on a forum to see how often other people's parents drink in the presence of their kids is worrying. They all say "oh my parents would never drink at home" or "maybe once a month" and it's like, both my mum and step dad (unless one/both of them are dieting) drink every day? Up to a whole bottle between them? 

 It's probably just that I get really nervous around tipsy/drunk people. It exacerbates every element of conversation I dislike, and my mum is really repetitive when drunk it's really frustrating. She only gets drunk if she goes out, but I usually hope I don't see her afterwards or I'll often be close to crying for whatever reason. I also can't stand the lack of personal space or the forgetting/ignoring of my personal space boundaries, and I hate the smell of alcohol on people's breath (more so than I dislike it by itself) which is stupid because I smell it on people's breath every night? Idk. I'm a paranoid selfish kid anyway, I'm probably just being unreasonable, but I was wondering if any other autistic people felt the same?

It is my birthday

And it has begun with me in front of a toilet for most of the morning. I guess that means I had a good night last night. I also think I had a good night because I am still drunk. Replying to all of these happy birthdays like I'm sober is a challenge

my sleeping pattern has been so wacked out that i only eat one meal a day and I've been so stressed out about shit that i can't control and i've been drinking more and acting impulsively im really running myself into the ground and idk if i can/will ever stop
