Monday, Monday, Monday ...
Another beautifully sunny day. Fresh enough to keep the woolly socks on though. Pottered outside and this has to be the biggest bumbly bee that I've seen so far. What a whopper of a fella! :-)
The radio is on and, yet again, they're playing the Harry Lime theme from The Third Man. I love the film even though, in reality, I've not seen it from start to finish. I have the film on DVD, just never seem to find the time to sit with it. So ... each time a channel is showing the film, I see bits of it as I walk in and out of the room.
I lay in bed last night thinking about this. This happens so much of the time. I've got enough DVDs to make a pyramid out of and be buried beneath. I've recorded enough films to last me a lifetime. And yet, each weekend, I buy the Groundhog Day TV Guide, knowing full well there'll be little to nothing I want to watch unless it's on in the early hours ... so the buying of DVDs and recording of films cycle continues.
I get a kind of a collage sense of films ... I watch a bit of this, I watch a bit of that, and my mind wanders between past, present and future. All I can think now is that, once I'm gone, there'll be a little screen built into my headstone with a sensor, and every time someone passes by, one of my many collected films will be triggered. A different one every time.
I'm figuring I could be the first 'beyond the grave' walk through cinema! All are welcome! ;-D
Now ... back to looking for bumble bees! ...
