We have 3 DSSA's (disability support stuffed animals). And here are reasons why we refuse to call them ESSA's (emotional support stuffed animals)
1. They often carry:
- our medicines
- list of our health issues
- emergency contact
- fidgets
- sunglasses
2. Help us with
- meltdowns
- avoiding harmful stims
- depression
- mania
- pain (we squish them if pain is bad)
- dissociation
It is so anoying when someone invalidates our DSSA's because it is "disrespectful to service animals" or even we get fakeclaimed.
