I LOVED how the last ask turned out!! You did an amazing job too!! If you are free rn i would like to send another ask :))), how would the bad sanses (+ error and cross if you can :DD) to a S/O that cracks their neck? i now it's not healthy but it feels really good lmao, have a nice day!

I don't really know too much about Cross so I probably won't write for him just yet, but I'd be happy to write for Error too! I'll probably only occasionally add him into asks with the bad sanses, so I hope that's alright! :)

Dust:

I'm not gonna lie, this probably weirds him out so much

He knew that humans' knuckles could crack, but he had no idea that necks could pop the same way

When he first hears you pop your neck he's going to freeze up and think you broke it

Once he sees that you're fine and okay, and after he's gotten onto you for scaring him, he's going to demand that you explain to him why your neck does that

It'll likely gross him out once he learns about it, and he'll likely get onto you for doing it when you tell him it's bad for your neck

He doesn't care if it feels nice, it's hurting you and he doesn't like that

Killer:

He's around enough weird people (humans included) while out and about in the multiverse, so he really wouldn't think much of it

You're hanging out with him doing who knows what and suddenly crack your neck with the loudest pop yet? The most he'll do is raise his browbones and give you a minor look of concern before going right back to what he was doing before

What he will want to do though is terrorize the others who it does gross out

Killer will drag you around to anyone and everyone bragging about the "trick" that you can do, and as soon as you have their attention, he'll gesture for you to pop your neck and watch the look of utter disgust on the poor soul he's targeted this time

It's only when he looks into it a little more and learns that it is, in fact, bad for humans' joints for you to do that that he'll reluctantly stop going out of his way to get you to gross people out

Skull:

For a long while after he hears it, he'll probably just... stare at you while trying to remember if this is normal for humans or not

After he's given you a heart attack by making you think you've broken him, and after you'd given him a very panicked explanation, he'll silently open up a new note on his phone to write down that it's a thing that you can do

He may or may not have thought that you accidentally broke yourself after hearing it for the first time

Now, if you do decide to tell him that cracking your neck isn't necessarily good for you, he'll be quick to try to stop you from doing it ever again

Even if it feels good to pop it, he knows that any kind of injury in the general head region is bad. For his and your sake, Skull will find any way possible to get you to not do that

Nightmare:

While Nightmare may have been around for long enough to know that humans can just kinda... do that, it doesn't mean it grosses him out any less

It's one of the few ways to get under his metaphorical skin, so if you ever feel like very quickly changing the topic away from something or getting him to stop hyperfocusing on one thing, that's the way

He may or may not try to grab you and stop you the second he realizes what you're trying to do, though

He would 100% be a victim of Killer's prank, and would absolutely hold a week long grudge on both of you

Error:

Disgusted is the understatement of the century for how he feels when he first watches you pop your neck

You'll notice that he's more glitchy and jumpy than usual when you do it (that's what happens when you're with a skeleton who's grossed out by the normal functions of a human) and after a while he just... crashes

The two of you could be in the middle of a normal conversation when all of the sudden he hears that disgusting crack, and you'd better believe he screeches

When in doubt, yelling about how grossed out he is will be his go-to - at least when he isn't in the middle of rebooting

He'll hold more of a grudge than anyone else depending on how often you do it on purpose, so if you want to stay on his good side, it's probably smart to avoid popping your neck around him

(the top rq is a joke btw. I was making a pun on how similar they sound. The actual rq is dust sans x reader ty)

Due to his past, it would be assumed that Dust didn't care for affection—which that wasn't necessarily false.

He didn't care for affection because he believed that nobody ever would want to show him love, especially after everything he did and was currently doing now. Nobody sane would want to show affection to a murderer, so why even bother with love if it wasn't "level of violence"?

But then you came along with your unbothered attitude, and instead of focusing on what he does, you focused on just him.

Suddenly, that lack of care he had for affection would vanish.

Whenever he'd get the chance, he'd embrace you. It didn't matter if you were facing him or if your back was turned, for he'd wrap his arms around you and keep you there for as long as you'll let him.

His hold wouldn't exactly be gentle—the skeleton would be squeezing you until you questioned why he was holding you so tight. The only answer he would give you is a shrug, for he wouldn't bother explaining that he holds you tight out of paranoia.

He constantly fears that you'll get taken away from him, so whenever you're together, you wouldn't have any personal space unless you're in public or there are other people around.

When it's just you two? He's glued to your side. He's grabbing your hand, hugging you, or dragging you to an area where he can lay next you and put his head on your chest.

Whenever you decide to slip your hand under his hood so you can rest your palm against his skull, make sure you have no plans for the rest of the day because he will not let you leave. You'll be stuck with him until he falls asleep, but even then, he's a light sleeper, so the slightest movements you make will likely wake him up.

If you try to reason with him—for example, saying he has something to do—he'll make up excuses just so he can stay with you.

"Dust?"

The skeleton would look up at you—his sharp eyelights staring into your gaze while you were hardly able to make out the rest of his face since he had his hood up. "Didn't Nightmare assign you something to do today?

"Killer can do it."

"Are you—?"

"Killer will do it."

This conversation would be happening with his face buried in your neck and his arms around your waist, by the way.

Intruder

(Dust!Sans x Reader)

Wrote a lil Dust Sans drabble… the scene struck me in the middle of the night and suddenly i was just…. ehe 👉 👈

The premise is your ‘kidnapped and stranded in Nightmare’s castle with all the Bad Sanses’.

Also he’s big Sans because I want him to be :]

Your bedroom is one of the very few safe, personal space you had in this castle. So it was a shock to see those eyelights in the dark; especially those belonging to the one you could never figure out.

CW: breaking and entering, minor threats, getting in your bed without permission (non sexual)

You're not sure what woke you up. Maybe you just sensed something was different.

Your eyes flew open with a sudden sense of urgency you couldn't place. You were staring at basketball shorts, and your eyes shot up to the owner.

Dust might be the most strikingly unnerving of all of Nightmare's 'hired hands'. He was the quietest of the group— even more than Horror. You knew Killer was always wearing a facade, an emotionless monster with a good mask that was capricious and unpredictable. But as soon as you see Dust, you know in your soul he was bad news.

Your eyes met his mismatched ones; the blood reds with a striking blue center in his left eyelight. It was always impossible to read him, and the hood hiding the rest of his face made him look like a large, shadowy figure, leaving only his eyes leering down at you. They were so bright in the dark.

You open your mouth.

"don't scream."

He says it all too casually. With a flick of his wrist, a glowing blue bone materialized under his hand, its threatening luminance silencing you before you could even form a thought.

"don't talk. don't make any sudden movements."

You freeze, your thoughts freeze. You couldn't fathom for what reason this, this murderer is doing in your locked room in the middle of the night. What was the point of a locked room in a castle full of teleporting skeletons anyway?

"scooch over. i'm just going to get in your bed."

Haha… what the fuck?

You've been through lots of things since you've been kidnapped to this literal Nightmare realm, where killing was just another Tuesday for its residents. But this might be the most bewildering and frightening thing that's ever happened to you.

Regardless, you do as he says, making room for him. There's audible relief in his breaths when you do. With another flick, the bone fades into nothing and the skeleton lifts your blanket, shuffling into the bed with you.

He's so large and heavy, the bed creaks and bends as he moves under the covers with you, and you feel a quick chill followed by the warmth of his body the closer he is to you. The quick relief from the lack of physical threats was quickly replaced by the absolute terror of having Dust be so close to you. That terror is compounded when he doesn't stop when his elbow touches you and he turns to you.

You've never seen his face so close.

Your eyes are wide, with him unceremoniously wrapping his arms around you, squishing you into his chest and tucks your head under his neck. You're blinking, heart stuck in your throat, his ribcage expanding against your cheek, before he lets out a long, shaky sigh. You didn't notice it until just now how shallow and rapid his breaths had been. Even now there's a slight tremble in his bones and his breathing.

Your cheeks turn pink, feeling the distinct segments in his phalanges as his hands glide behind your back, bunching up your shirt a little above your hips. Whether it was intentional or not, you couldn't tell.

Just when you think you can relax a little, Dust's nasal cavity presses to the crown of your head, and the skeleton takes a ribcage-full of it. You fist your hands in anticipation of… you don't know what, especially when you feel his teeth graze you. Whatever he smells, he likes, because he pushes his arms further around you and gives you another sniff.

You don't realize you're trying to get some space from him when all of a sudden a leg hooks around yours. You stifle your cry, but the smallest of sounds escape you. Dust grits his teeth, and his fingers sink into you, your throat tightening in your attempts to quieten your whines.

There's a growl in his throat. Your heart stops.

…

But nothing happens. He releases his grip on you, a hand drifting up to brush your hair.

"sorry."

Sorry?

"i'm not trying to scare you. you're just… really cute when you make those little noises."

… What?

"I… I don't understand."

You knew all the skeletons liked you in one way or another, despite Nightmare insisting that you're merely a bargaining tool. Horror was both a Teddy and a Bear, a hungry beast who couldn't communicate when he wanted affection. Killer was a loudmouth who made his intentions towards you clear as day, even letting slip his softer feelings from time to time. Nightmare was an enigma, but it was clear he had a fondness for you. Dust… you couldn't tell if Dust liked you, at all. The sudden teleporting behind you, silently stalking around you, the uncaring way he looked down on you. You thought he thought you a nuisance. Or at the most, something fun to poke.

And here he was, practically clinging to you.

"i needed to find you. i was hoping you wouldn't wake up."

… He sounds… genuine. And relaxed. You take the opportunity to ask.

"Is something wrong?"

Dust shifts, so he could see your eyes. You've never seen his look so soft before, a lighter hue than before. With his hood moved, you could see a glimps of his face in this low light, just a hint of his teeth, and a part of his cheek. If you didn't know any better, this would be the perfect romantic scene with a boyfriend.

"i'm just," he grimaces, "i'm just having a bad night."

He brushes his face, palm to his sockets. When he removes his hand, his eyelights pulse unpleasantly, the edges looking like an old TV before they stabilize again.

"it's not important."

From the hint of a grimace, you don't think it's 'not important.'

You don't push it though.

"Ok. But then… why are you here?"

You know why. But you need more. And it needs to come from the monster himself.

Dust looks tired, but in a good way; the kind of tired you feel when you've just gotten home from a long journey, where you can finally rest. The back of a phalange brushes your cheek.

"i always come to your room when i have a bad night. this is just the first time you woke up."

"H… huh?"

"relax. all i did was watch you sleep. nothing happened," his forehead bumps into yours. He's never been so… intimate with you. And to this degree?

"look. you make the voices stop." He explains. His brow quirks, and he moves his head back, murmuring "oh hush now,"then turning back to you.

Now that, you did notice, the times where it looks like he's talking to himself— or more accurately, arguing with himself. You've never seen it up close before, though.

You swallow at how closely his eyelights were observing you, his face so close you felt his breaths on your lips.

"Wh-wha," you stammer, "what do you want me to do?"

"nothing." He's looking at you so intensely. "go back to sleep."

"Uh—"

You're floored. Dust closes his sockets, his mouth open a crack, then presses his face to your cheek. He moves his head back and forth, like a, like a… nuzzle. A very gentle, wanting nuzzle. There's a rumble in your throat, softer than before; a purr?

He pulls your legs closer, squeezing one arm around your chest and buries his fingers in your hair. His breathing slows as he falls asleep. You…

You don't know what to do. Stuck between his bones, you're forced to fall asleep next to him.

Headcanons for Sanses x Reader who has joints trouble because of work!

Under the cut: Sans, Red, Blue, Killer, Dust, Horror, Nightmare.

Classic

* As soon as the pain starts, he notices.

* His eye-lights get sliiiiightly smaller whenever you go for sit down and your knees crackle and pop like glowsticks. When he asks if they hurt, you deny, but still. It sounds painful.

* Still new to this whole ‘humans having skeletons inside them’ thing, but he remembers whenever your joints pop, and the more time passes, the less he’s freaked out.

* At first, he just makes you sit to rest when you’re home, locks you down for cuddles or impromptu movie nights- where you primarily sleep, by the way- but the joints get worse as time goes on, and he’ll start looking more and more into it. If he realizes you re starting to feel pain, he might suggest going to a physiotherapist.

* When he finally sees you’re having trouble walking, he starts looking into pain-relief methods. At one point, he asks Toriel to make you special blends of teas for pain.

* Casually asks you how your knees are doing once a week, but with the teas working, he gradually asks less.

* When he starts working as a scientist on the surface he starts having the same problems, having to be on his feet for longer than he is used to, and tea-time starts turning into bonding time.

Red

* the reason he’s notices is because he comes home earlier than you, working as a mechanic. He listens for your keys, and smiles wider as he hears you come in.

* With time, he actually eavesdrops to get a feeling of how bad your joints are hurting. Sigh means they’re kind of okay, a low hiss means you might need at least two hours of sitting down before actually functioning, and he’s ready for it. Console hooked up, movies prepared, the works.

* The reason he’s not surprised about you actually having bones is because, as soon as he learned humans had skeletons, he started doing the whole “want another one inside you?” joke. Someone stop him. Now.

* Won’t look for remedies within the monster community unless it’s his brother Edge who personally brews up something for you. Has a hard time trusting store-bought medicinals, since the side-effects bother him.

* On one occasion, you went to the bathroom as soon as you came back home and cried. He heard.

* The next morning, your alarm mysteriously went missing, and you slept in. When you woke up, he had answered a call from your boss, painting up this dramatic story of you getting a sprained ankle coming back home.

* He almost got you fired, but you appreciated the gesture and agreed he wouldn’t do it again. Maybe.

Blue

* He’s always on the move, since he’s a police officer, so he knows how hard it can be to have some painful days. With time, he’s grown numb to it, but he soon realizes the adaptability of humans is much, much slower and painful.

* He reads up on stories from older folks and actually gets scared for you.

* Probably the first to actually get you what you need, having Chara always on speed dial and all. Asgore makes the perfect blend of teas for you, as per his request, and even manages to tweak it to your tastes. He might start getting into tea-brewing as well.

* Besides the monster tea helping you, he might start forcing you into doing more exercise. When you tell him you both walk and run enough at your job, he goes “so?”

* Stretch might help you convince him not to make you exercise, but sooner or later he’s going to make you do Yoga.

* Even you don’t know how, but one day you’ll both be stretching and twisting on yoga mats, and you’ll think back to when he let you laze around out of pity and cry.

* “What’s wrong, love? Do your knees hurt?”

* Give him some nasty looks and he might let you skip a lesson or two. Don’t overdo it, or you might desensitize him.

Killer

* Doesn’t take it seriously.

* “Here’s your ‘welcome home’ gift.”

* And it’s a cane. Your favourite wood, nice, decorated rims, and a cleaning kit. “You can’t be serious.”

* You start using it.

* After a couple of weeks, he says you might be an old soul. When you don’t stop using it, he starts taking it seriously. As seriously as he can, anyway.

* He gets you painkillers, makes your cane disappear, and gets you a good pair of shoes. Are they stolen? Probably.

* “I did it for you- because I love you.”, he means it, you know he does, but you remind him he has the money to actually buy them.

* On one particular occasion, he decides he wants to sleep in your room. You don’t deny him, since he rarely decides he wants to sleep together, and you let him in.

* When your alarm rings, you go to get up.

* You can’t.

* His boney, spindly arms are locked in around your torso, and you spend a good half-hour wrestling and laughing until you miss the chance to clock in at work.

* He smiles, satisfied, as he watches you dial your boss’s number. Whether you forgive him or not depends on you.

Dust

* At first, you think he doesn’t care.

* You soon learn he does.

* Painkillers on your nightstand, healing balms, the works.

* One day, you finally see him refill some of the warm band-aids, and decide to confront him.

* “How did you know? Why are you getting me all this?”

* “Papyrus said he noticed you were in pain.” He stays silent for a long time, eye-lights almost completely hidden by his hood. They shift, slowly, until he locks eyes with you. “And you need me”

* From then on, he remains of few words. He sits closer when you can rest on the couch, moves heavier things for you and, for the first time since you met him, he vacuums.

* You’re not ashamed to say you took a few pictures.

* Somewhere close by, Papyrus is celebrating.

Horror

* When your joints start popping, he stares, long and hard. He knew humans had skeletons, since he butchered too many to count, but to hear yours was pleasant, in a way.

* It made you and him alike.

* Your expressions are what alerts him something is wrong.

* “Are you hurt?” The question is slow, quiet, barely audible through the audio coming from the Tv. The screen flickers, and you shrug, sprawled on the couch. “Kind of. Not really.”

* Anyway, he starts picking you up.

* You get home and he’s at the door, ready to carry you around wherever you may need for the next two to three hours. Crooks is happy, seeing his brother moving for a change, and you get to rest your legs enough for them to function again.

* If you don’t want to get picked up, you can tell him. He’ll listen. He’ll hover, but he’ll listen.

* “I’ll carry that for you.” “I can do it.” “You can’t” “I said I can,” “Your knees still hurt.”

* *crack*

* The object is plucked from your hands and you get placed on the couch like you’re made of porcelain. If you try to get up, it’s Crooks who stops you.

* “Please, Human. I Must Ask That You Don’t Ruin This Moment For Me.” He has tears in his eye sockets as Horror takes the laundry basket up the stairs. Crooks hands you monster candy, making a shushing noise. “Alright, alright…”

Nightmare

* The first who notices.

* He feels it in you, the ache that makes that uncomfortable feeling bubble up in your soul.

* Has no issues guessing where the hurt is coming from, and he might try to convince you to quit your job. If he can’t persuade you, he’s certain you’ll change your mind when the pain gets worse.

* Your human stubbornness is what baffles him.

* While you sleep, he tries to massage the pain out of your knees, but with little results.

* If any type of issue arises at work, he’ll try to worm his way into your head to make you hate the place.

* “Why can’t they hire a person to do that? It’s unfair to fill your schedule up with such nonsense, isn’t it?”

* “Hasn’t that issue arisen before? Why haven’t they fixed it?”

* “You really shouldn’t be as tolerant as you are. They’re the ones in the wrong, aren’t they?”

* If you’re with him, you have to be able to draw the line. A simple “I can handle myself,” could do, but it’s gonna be hard to shake him off. He has all the arguments in the world.

* “I love this job.” He remains silent for a second two, three, then speaks, “you do?” “A lot.”

* He caves and gets you monster food that’s suited for injuries and minor traumas. He’s going to be salty about it for a while, so you might need to get onto his good side again.

* Not that it’s hard. I mean, you’re You.
