Now stuff about me! (which uhh... just turned into me just rambling about a bunch of random stuff, but it still has some info?)

Hey, my name is Mars! I'm aroace, nonbinary and go by they/them or it/it, and I don't have a preference for either one. I'm autistic and have ADHD, and Undertale and it's AUs has been my special interest ever since it came out!

I draw pretty often, and I make a lot of characters, but I don't know if I'll ever actually get the confidence to post my art and stuff here-

Speaking of drawing, my profile picture will always be made by me, based off of however I look when I make it! I'll probably be needing to update it pretty often, as my look has been changing a lot as well

I really like talking to people, (even if I'm awful at it and make a fool of myself every time-) so if you ever want to message me for any reason, I would be glad to respond and chat a bit!

It's not something I've every really brought up on this account before, but I've recently been dealing with a really bad flare up with chronic pain and whatnot. I wrote a short little hurt/comfort oneshot with Skull and MC to help myself feel a little better, and I hope that maybe this can help cheer someone else up too <3

Nightmare's castle is uncharacteristically quiet. There's no screaming and yelling from the skeletons fighting, no quiet banter from the living room, and not even the familiar sound of Skull meandering about in the kitchen as he tries to figure out what meal to make for the gang tonight. You guess that maybe they're all out doing their own things, whatever that might be. And while part of you had been hoping to track one of them down for a distraction from the constant ache in your body and the dizziness that clings to the corners of your vision, even you know better than to go and hunt them down when they could be in one of their especially volatile moods. It's not like finding one of them was your whole reasoning for dragging yourself out of bed when you're already this miserable or anything.

But you're already out of bed, and the kitchen is empty, so what better way to distract yourself than to bake something? The apples that were brought back from last week's supply run haven't been touched at all; it won't be too hard for you to make a simple apple crumble out of them. With that thought, you force yourself to drag your feet forward to pull the basket of fruit off of the counter, dropping it haphazardly next to the sink. One by one, you rinse the apples off, peeling off the little stickers without bothering to read what variety you're going to be using. It's peaceful. Just monotonous enough to keep your mind off of the pain, but not so boring as to let your mind wander.

Your task goes by relatively easily - like you're running on autopilot. Grab the cutting board and knife, slice the apples, put them into the bowl. If you ignore the fact that it feels like your entire body is being weighed down by a thousand pounds of lead, this could almost be fun. By the time you've added the sugar, spices, and a little bit of flour to the bowl of apples, it already feels like you've run a marathon in that small amount of time. The cold marble of the tile presses into your ribs as you're forced to lean into it for support. Your eyes close automatically to try to ward off another wave of dizziness, yet before you have the chance to open them again, a heavy shuffle shuffle of someone's slippers sounds from the entryway. It's only a moment later that Skull stalks forward into your space, one glowing red eyelight trained on the bowl of apples in front of you.

Forcing yourself to stand up a little more straight in a poor attempt to mask your current state, you offer a warm smile to him as he steps forward. "Hi, Skull," you greet tiredly, a tone he doesn't miss. "I'm making an apple crumble. The ones we picked up last week were getting a little mushy, so..." He watches you trail off before reaching out to grab a single slice between his forefinger and his thumb.

"... smells good." Then, a moment after the apple has disappeared into his maw so quickly that you aren't sure if he even tried to chew or not, he speaks up again. "tastes good... sweet." That's the only thing he says as he steps back and watches you continue your task in silence. Not once does his eyelight waver from you, and for a moment, it feels like he's looking through you instead of at you. Even as you continue to melt down the butter to make the crumble to sprinkle over the top, he doesn't say another word, instead picking up on every little detail about you. The way you put your weight all onto one leg, the furrow of pain between your brows, and especially the way you're forcing yourself to keep moving despite it all. It's the last straw for him.

You feel him behind you before your hear him. His arms wrap around you from behind with no other warning but the rustle of worn fabric from that jacket he refuses to ever get rid of, followed by the warm feeling of his chin resting on top of your head. It feels nicer than you'd like to admit. For a monster made of bones, he's almost hot to the touch, and if the way he brings his hands up to gently massage your shoulders is anything to go off of, you'd say that he's well aware.

"you okay? you seem..." Skull goes quiet for another few seconds to watch you dump the bowl of spiced apples into that little square glass pan that you always use for this type of thing. He huffs into your hair and hugs you tighter against himself, content to keep you like this for just a little while longer. It's nearly a whole five minutes of the two of you just standing there in comfortable quiet - your head pressed back into his sternum while his hands carefully massage the tension out of your upper back and shoulders.

Reluctantly, you force yourself to speak up and break the moment. "I should put this in the oven," you murmur before sliding the tray across the counter.

"mh-nn... not yet." That's all the warning you get before he pulls you down to sit onto the cold tiles with him. Pulling you into his lap, but not before getting situated to allow him to comfortably sit criss-cross, Skull tugs you closer until your face is pressed into the crook of his neck. The way he wraps his arms around you is so agonizingly gentle, almost as though he's afraid that you'll shatter if he moves too quickly. "just stay with me for a sec," he grumbles as he leans his back into the cabinets behind him.

There's nothing you can do but huff out a laugh and melt into him. It's comfortable - safe - and you can't quite stop yourself from melting into him like this.

"You know that Nightmare is going to complain about 'public indecency' if he sees the two of us like this, right?"

Your words earn a rumbling chortle from the depths of his chest, but it doesn't do a thing to deter him from this. "yep. let 'im complain... i'm too comfortable... to deal with that," comes his deep, baritone retort. "'sides... you're not having a good day. y' didn't answer when i asked... you only do that when it's a bad pain day."

Cheeks burning with embarrassment at the fact he can read you so easily, you look up at him with your cheeks puffed out, looking like you're about to try to deny it, only to drop your head back against his shoulder. You hate the fact that he's so right about you. "Maybe. But this is... this is nice. Thank you."

He feels the way you shift in his lap to send him a halfhearted glare. "... But I still need to put the apple crumble into the oven, Skull."

"nope. you're stuck like this... until i feel like letting go."

"You're 'horror'ible," you quip, relishing in the breathy laugh that he gives in response to the awful pun. This isn't the worst outcome that could have come out of wanting to go find him, you suppose. And if it means that you're stuck on the floor in the middle of the kitchen for a few hours while a skeleton that acts more like an overgown cat holds you like this? Then maybe this exactly what you needed to help you feel better.

What would Wine think if his brothers S/O looks menacing at first glance but is very soft and enjoys peaceful activities then overly adventurous ones. Coffee seems to have gotten a little confident when speaking up for himself now... a little, but he is getting there with slight encouragement from his S/O. Coffee's S/O doesn't seem to mind Wine's interigation, though

Wine doesn't like you. At all.

But by now, he had realized his brother had grown too attached to get rid of you without consequences. So he's gritting his teeth and holding back, trying to be cordial so Coffee doesn't get mad at him.

When you're alone with him, though? You're not existing. He's not even looking your way. He still hopes you're going to leave one of these days and never come back, but so far, you always came back and he hates it.

At least he can tell you're not trying to hurt his brother. And ok, maybe Coffee seems happier and more confident around you. But still, that doesn't mean anything and he won't miss an opportunity to tell you you're not welcome lol.

Well, in brief, Wine is wining. Don't worry, he might develop some sort of weird interest in you at some point. That's going to be cringe though and you won't like it because nice Wine is even weirder than normal Wine.

Can I request nightmare, swap, horror, and dream with a winged s/o?

Winged characters are genuinely my favorite trope in the world

Nightmare, Blue, Skull, and Dream with a winged S/O

Nightmare:

Don't they make your back hurt? He's not even trying to make a joke by asking; he can guess that your wings aren't exactly light, he knows from experience considering his own tentacles on his back are heavy, so his first reaction is concern

Even though he never directly offers or asks, you can tell he enjoys it when you ask him to help you - whether it be with preening your feathers or giving you a back massage to loosen your muscles

Nightmare is one of those subtly caring people. He doesn't do grand gestures of affection, but he does little things here and there to show he cares if he likes you enough

He'll occasionally hold onto your wings with one of his tendrils to lessen their weight, but if you call him out on it, he's quick to drop them and give you some bad excuse to why he did it

Blue:

Is he allowed to pet them? He thinks your feathers just look so soft, and so warm...

He'll offer to help you preen the ones you have a hard time reaching whenever you're molting, and it's one of the rare times you get to see him sit down and just take a moment to rest

Blue might save some of the pretty flight feathers that fall off as souvenirs, but how can he not? It doesn't matter what color your wings are, he thinks they're the most stunning thing he's ever seen

It's so easy to fluster him when you come up behind him and wrap on of your wings around him in a hug

His face will turn a pretty baby blue, and the look on his face is so sappy that it almost seems out of place on him

Skull:

Skull is already a very cuddly person once he finally trusts someone enough, but you having wings is just another reason for him to touch you

He'll brush over the feathers, amazed at how smooth they are, and how soft it feels under his hands

It isn't all that uncommon for him to just pick you up or drag you to the nearest soft surface to take a nap together

With you laying on top of his chest and your wings resting over both of you like the world's best blanket, Skull will be the most comfortable skeleton there's ever been

When he starts to purr and rumble beneath you (can skeletons purr? maybe not, but he does), you know that he's in a good mood

Dream:

It doesn't matter how many times he sees you, Dream will always be amazed by how beautiful your wings are

The way your feathers brush against him when you're walking side by side never ceases to make him melt

For someone meant to be the guardian of positivity, he sure is always pretty tense - always on edge, always prepared for some kind of attack on the AU that he's currently residing in, but pulling him into a hug with your wings wrapped around him like a cocoon is one of the few ways to get him to actually let go

For once, he feels secure enough to just... be. It's like the whole world just fades away when he's with you like that, and he finally feels safe enough to let himself cry

I got a new piercing last week and it had me thinking... how in the world would skeletons react to something like that?? So here's a short drabble of headcanons for today :]

HT and UF brothers' thoughts on you having piercings

Horrortale:

Skull:

You have metal. In your face. And you humans just do it for fun??

I won't lie, it might freak him out a little bit. Not because he thinks it looks bad, but because doesn't that hurt??

Just tell him it really isn't that bad considering that it means you get to look cool as hell until you take it out and he'll calm down a little

If it's in a placement that bruises, he's going to dote on you

Skull will bring you ice packs, ibuprofen - he'll even go to the store to pick up some saline spray and antibacterial soap if he thinks you're running low

No matter how concerned he might seem about the concept, you still catch him staring at the jewelry in clear fascination from time to time

Sweets:

After he's back up on the surface and on the path to recovering, Sweets will be so so so excited when he sees it

You two match!! Well, kind of. He points to his braces then to your new piercing, smiling so wide that you're almost worried he's going to hurt his jaw

He reminds you to clean it every time he has to clean his braces, though you might have to explain to him that it's possible to over clean a new piercing

He might be a little worried about it hurting you, or maybe getting infected

But if you tel him that most everyone who gets a new piercing knows the risks that comes with it and that they're willing for the possibility of that to happen he'll trust your judgement

Just promise him that you'll take it out the moment you think it's going to reject

Underfell:

Red:

He's the kind of person who makes those horrible magnet jokes

Just give him a little flick on the forehead to get him to stop talking, because explaining that the metal isn't magnetic isn't going to stop him

Aside from that when he first sees it, he thinks it looks so cool on you

It doesn't matter what the piercing is or how bruised it might be those first few days, he'll just sit there and stare at it

Can skeletons get piercings? Red doubts that he'd want to ever pierce through bone, but he definitely considers getting his tongue pierced the next time you go to get your bar resized

And then YOU can threaten HIM with a magnet

Edge:

Piercings aren't an uncommon sight in the underground, at least for monsters who can get them, so his reaction is honestly kind of mild

He might ask you where you got it done, how long the healing process will be, but he overall doesn't make a big deal out of it

That is, if you don't bring up the process of actually getting the piercing

There are very few things that actually gross him out, but any time he imagines someone else getting a piercing, all he can think of is how it would feel for him to get one

Not through his ecto like Red's first thought is, no, but through bone instead

He considers maybe a fine dremel bit to make a small hole through the bone, and he actually gags

He's going to congratulate you and tell you that it looks nice on your features, but PLEASE never tell him about the process again

I've gotten so many asks for this so I figured it was finally time for me to do it! I was not expecting this style of ask to be as popular as it is but I'm glad people like it <3

Bad Sanses reaction to their S/O having a resting bitch face

Dust:

Are you... okay? Dust is a little concerned that you seem like you're going to snap an kill someone at any moment (though that isn't exactly abnormal considering his usual company)

It might unnerve him a little bit, but you don't seem angry, so he assumes that it's just normal

Expect him to make a few jokes about though, because he will (affectionately) make fun of you in situations where you should be laughing while you just sitting there like >:(

If there's ever a time that you end up crying over something small, such as the time you saw Skull smush a cute jumping spider, he'll find it funny just how contradictory you are

Overall it really doesn't bother him, especially considering that none of the people in the group are all that happy looking

Killer:

He understands how it feels to look one way and feel the exact opposite way

While he always looks like he's smiling, it's difficult for him to feel much at all, so he gets it

That doesn't mean he won't pick on you because of it though

Killer has always been a little bit of an ass, so he'll go out of his way to find things to make you laugh or cry - either is entertaining to him

He'll jokingly invite you to tag along on his missions if he ever finds you glaring for no reason in particular

Skull:

He thinks that it's so, so, cute

You look like one of those angry chihuahuas every time he sees you - all angry one second, the excited to see him the next

He'll sometimes do things to try to cheer you up even if he knows that you aren't actually angry or upset about something

His go-to is to invite you to bake something with him, which more often than not ends in you yelling at him to stop eating handfuls of raw flour to "taste test"

If you ever end up crying over something that seems insignificant to other people, he'll try his absolute hardest to comfort you

Nightmare:

Nightmare knows better than most out of this group that you looking angry doesn't reflect how you're feeling

You look like you're going to burn down an orphanage at any given moment, yes, but he doesn't get the feelings of negativity from you like he would from someone who actually wants to

He'll make offhand comments about how the two of you match - though in his case, he is upset at any given moment

It's always a little bit ironic when he catches you doing something that goes entirely against how angry you look

Like the time you and Killer brought back an entire litter of newborn kittens, then proceeded to cry and beg him to let you two keep them

I love the thought of them just trying to go about their day and then chomp

UT, UF, and US skeles with an S/O who bites to show affection

Undertale:

Sans:

PLEASE warn him before you do this the first time because he will 100% freeze up if he isn't prepared for it

After he knows why you're doing it though, Sans can't stop himself from laughing at it

He appreciates it that you get so overwhelmed by your affection for him that you can't show it in any way but biting him, but he's going to teasingly offer other, less startling ways to express it

Kisses? He can do those. Picking him up and spinning him around? He can handle that. Biting him? Now he might playfully scold you for catching you off guard

Once he's used to it a little more, he learns to pick up the signs of an incoming bite - and he'll absolutely try to make jokes and puns to throw you off

Papyrus:

After his initial shock passes, it very quickly becomes a competition to see who can out-do each other with over the top affection

Papyrus grabs your face and rubs his all over it in the best approximation of a kiss he can manage, all while laughing the entire time

He might offhandedly compare you to the royal guard dogs who have tried to take off with his bone attacks, but anyone can see the playfulness in his eyesockets

It startles him every single time that you bite him out of the blue, but every single time it ends in him gushing about how much he loves you too

Underfell:

Red:

Oh boy have you opened up a whole can of worms by doing this

Red will very quickly see it as a challenge to see who can bite harder, and believe me when I say that he will win that little battle

It gives him a good laugh every single time you chomp down on him out of the blue, and no matter when or where it is, he makes sure to return the favor with equal eagerness

His teeth are sharper than most, which usually ends in some minor accidents, but he will always always make sure to clean up any blood and make it up to you in some way or another

The go to is usually a trip to Grillby's with the promise that you'll be allowed to get everything you could possible want

However, neither of you are surprised in the slightest when he takes a good few bites of everything you get, saying that he has to make sure it's up to his standards

Edge:

The first time you do this to him, it startles him so badly that he lets out the most undignified shriek he's ever made in his life

He'll scold you while his cheekbones are practically glowing red with that flush of magic you adore

While he doesn't scream after that first time, it flusters him so so much every time you bite him

Despite how much he claims to hate it, you never see him actually try to stop you, but you do see the way he lowers himself down to your level to make it easier for you to reach whenever he picks up on the signs that you're about to bite

It isn't uncommon for him to very quickly speed off to clean or train after - his usual way to calm down after something manages to fluster him

He immediately freezes up every time it happens, only to break out in a fit of muffled laughter

"IS THIS WHAT PEOPLE MEAN WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT CUTENESS AGGRESSION? I KNOW YOU LIKE ME, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW YOU THOUGHT I WAS THAT CUTE!"

No matter how many times you do it, he somehow always knows exactly when you're planing to sneak up on him to chomp and to show him how much you love him

Blue might tease you a little bit by saying that he's not a chewtoy, and might even offer to buy you those little rubber necklaces for you chew on if you really feel need to

Stretch:

He's another one of the skeletons who audibly yelps every time you chomp down on him, but he finds it endearing

You feel so much affection for him that you can't think of any other way to show it but to bite him? Oh, he thinks it's the most adorable thing in the world

If he has the chance, he likes to flop himself on top of you like a very bony weighted blanket, saying that you're in time out

He might carefully bite back to get revenge, but it's never enough to really do anything but tickle an make you laugh

Like touching wet food in the sink makes them literally gag in disgust so they have to wear those silly rubber gloves when doing dishes. I can't wear specific clothes as well because it's SO BAD.

He may or may not panic the first time that he sees you freaking out from a bad texture

His first thought is that you're hurt, and although it takes you a minute to calm down enough to explain what happened, he'll sit and wait as patiently as he needs to to understand

While he himself doesn't necessarily understand why these things bother you so much, he'll do everything he possibly can to help you avoid them

Skull will go out of his way to write down every little texture, food, smell, sound, you name it, into his notes so he can remember what to avoid making or doing

No matter how lazy he is, he'll always offer to take over chores like dishes and vacuuming since he knows that they mess with your sensory issues

If you still want to do things despite the textures and feelings getting to you, he'll try to find every possible way to work around it

Rubber gloves for the dishes, ear muffs for the vacuum, cutting out all of the tags from your clothes so they don't itch your skin

Sweets:

While some things texture-wise tend to gross him out, Sweets doesn't know how to react at first when you get overwhelmed by certain things

After you explain to him just how much you hate the most random of things, he'll want to sit and talk to you until he knows every last thing that bothers you and why it grosses you out so much

He won't really bring it up again after that, but you'll start to notice subtle changes in the way he does things

He'll take over doing the dishes and start doing the louder chores when you aren't home. On the days that he's cooking something he knows will have a texture you don't like, he'll always be sure that you have a second option that you know you can eat without any issues

If you ever end up getting overwhelmed out in public, he'll always make sure to have a backup plan for any and every possible issue

If you're overwhelmed by the noise, he'll hand you a pair of headphones to block it out. If it's your clothes bothering you, he'll pull an outfit he knows doesn't pester you from his seemingly bottomless bag

Underswap

Blue:

It really isn't any surprise to Blue when he sees you having a meltdown for the first time

He's much more observant that people give him credit for, so despite the fact that he's never asked you what kinds of things and textures mess with you sensory issues, he just seems to already know

He's the type to help you find workarounds rather than letting you avoid it altogether

It doesn't matter what it is or how mundane it might seem to others, he's the absolute best at finding solutions for these kinds of things

Researching brands that are sensory friendly, making sure that every last bit of food is rinsed off from every single plate and dish before it even goes into the rinsed side of the sink, as well as making sure that both of you have a plan to calm down should something trigger you

He'll constantly remind you that he's there for you and that you're doing great every time you find a new way to get around the issues

Stretch:

Honestly, I feel like Stretch is in the same boat when it comes to certain things - smells in particular

While he's usually the type to avoid having to do more than the bare minimum, he at least knows to take these kinds of issues very very seriously

He'll indulge you by letting you eat your safe foods all day and every day while making sure that you're at least taking supplements to make up for the nutrition you're missing

Overall he really just lets you do your own thing, trusting you to know yourself well enough to stop or do something differently if you need to

You might have to talk to him a little bit if you want him to be a more active help when it comes to these things, but from there he'll do the absolute best he can

It isn't uncommon for him to pull you aside and hold his hands over your ears when he notices that you're overwhelmed by the sounds, and he's always willing to offer up his hoodie for you to wear if your own clothes are too much for you

Hey im still new to this so sorry if I word it wrong but can I get some of the different papyrus's with a male or gender neutral s/o who is is one of those people that just doesn't sugarcoat things they'll say it how it is not in a mean way but their pretty blunted honest about it.

I'm probably going to start making all of my headcanons with a gender-neutral and generally ambiguous MC so that everyone who wants to can enjoy them :]

UT, US, and HT Papyrus with a blunt S/O

Papyrus:

Is it weird for me to think that this is something he'd be grateful for? His entire life he's been coddled and treated as though he doesn't know what's going on despite the fact that he's a grown adult, and to finally have someone who tells hims things directly is something he didn't know he needed as much as he does

You'll very quickly become the first person he goes to when he wants a true opinion on something

It doesn't matter what it is or how mundane it might be, Papyrus will find you to ask you about anything - and I mean anything

But if you're ever out in public and talking to other people, likely saying something bluntly, he'll be quick to step in and clear things up if the person you're with seems offended

He'll still defend you by saying that you're just blunt in general, but he might gently ask you to think over your words a little more to make sure it doesn't sound like you're trying to be rude on purpose

Stretch:

Stretch is somehow one of the most socially anxious skeletons out of this bunch

You being so blunt can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the situation, but I don't think he'd be the type to ever really call you out on it

If he's ever struggling to explain himself properly without dodging the subject like he usually does, he might give you the look of "please help me I have no idea how to say this" before letting you take over the talking for him

Overall, I don't see Stretch as ever really having a problem with you being blunt in the long run

Sweets:

Oh boy is this going to be a fun combo. Sweets is the biggest people-pleaser that most will ever meet, and combined with someone who doesn't sugarcoat their words in the slightest... It's bound to be an interesting duo

It's not as though he has an issue with you being straightforward, he understands that some things need to be said directly instead of dancing around the subject, but there's always that lingering sense of guilt he has regarding anything and everything ever since he finally escaped the underground

If his habit of explaining things after you ever ends up bothering you, just let him know and he'll promise to try his best to stop

Just maybe hold his hand or something to give him something else to focus on if he really seems like he's going to fall back into the habit

Getting anyone to apologize in the underground he grew up in was nearly unheard of

So even when you say that you're sorry for something small, he just stops to stare at you for a long moment to contemplate why

That will happen the first dozen or so times before he starts to realize that you apologize for everything, no matter if it was your fault or not

The few times he ran into you and you said sorry suddenly make sense to him

Red will bring it up every once in awhile when he catches it to ask you why you do it, and when you say that it's just a compulsive urge, sometimes even just to fill the silence, he might be a little bit too confused to fully understand your reasoning

Still, he might gently nudge your side when you say you're sorry when you both know that you don't need to be as a way to tell you to quit it

Edge:

I won't lie, it weirds Edge out more than he'd like to admit when he catches you saying sorry at any chance you can get

He'll call you out immediately to say that no, you do not need to apologize because he dropped a cup

He's a little bit more blunt that the others would be when he goes about telling you to stop it - that it surely can't be good for your mental health to feel guilty for every little thing

If he catches you apologizing to someone when they were in the wrong, he will absolutely call it out to say that they should be apologizing, not you

Once he's a little more used to it, you might catch him laughing at you saying sorry for bumping into inanimate objects and whatnot

Just don't be surprised when he starts coaching you into thinking about what you're saying sorry for and if it's really needed before you actually say it

It probably goes over his head for a long while, considering that Sweets has the same exact problem

He tells you when you weren't in the wrong of course, but he really won't say much else or think it's out of the ordinary

May or may not appreciate when you say sorry to fill the silence depending on how he's feeling, considering that he isn't all that talkative anymore

It takes you bringing it up to him that you see it as a problem or nuisance for him to really do anything about it

While it may slip his mind to get your attention and tell you to stop it, he still tries his hardest to help you if you want him to

And if you don't want to change it, he gets it. It's not as though apologizing all the time is hurting anyone, and he even gets a chuckle out of it every once in awhile

Sweets:

Sweets understands better than most what it feels like to feel the need to apologize for every little thing

It isn't rare for you to end up saying sorry at the exact same time for the exact same thing, regardless of who was to blame for it

He might bring up plans and ways to change the way he thinks about his words before saying sorry, and if you're up for it, he'll give you his own plan for getting better about it

If you agree, expect him to give you lots and lots of homework - usually introspection and the reasons why you feel the need to say sorry 24/7

When either of you make any progress, he'll celebrate in any way either of you want to

A whole week goes by where neither of you apologize unprovoked? He'll bring you out on a date, or maybe find some other cute idea to spend time with you and celebrate at the same time

It takes him a little bit of convincing. He'll say that he's just so comfortable on the couch, that he was just about to get some shut-eye, but he will entertain you by giving his "hypothetical" answer

"dunno... i'd probably just roll with whatever plans you got for the day."

The way he looks at you through one open eye as he feigns sleep makes it all too obvious that he's waiting for some kind of reaction for his jokes

When you instead drag him off of the couch and out to the park at the end of the block, he doesn't complain nearly as much as you thought he would - instead keeping up a constant stream of horri-ball puns

At the end of the day, all he really does is take a long nap in the giant hamster-ball, even if he did narrowly save you from rolling into the pond in the center of the park a few times

"If I were to hypothetically spend an entire week setting up the perfect picnic date, dinosaur oatmeal and all of your other favorites, would you or would you not want to go with me?"

If Papyrus wasn't excited already just by seeing you before, he's downright elated to hear your question

He knows you well enough to know that it isn't really hypothetical, and he absolutely lets out the loudest and happiest squeal you've ever heard from him

While he might chide you a little bit for keeping it a secret from him, and maybe huff at his own obliviousness considering that he was there when you were getting all of the groceries for it, he's quick to run upstairs and get dressed up for the date

He is so, so, so grateful for every little thing you've set up

The blanket you've laid out on the grass is perfect, all of the food you've made and bough for the two of you are the best things he's ever had, and he's more than a little surprised to find that you brought every single one of his favorites

You're panting and out of breath from running for your life as you ask, "Hypothetically, if I just ran away from your brother trying to teach me self-defense, how long do I have before he catches up to me?"

Red stares at you for a few shocked seconds before he laughs. It's not the quiet chuckles you're used to from him, but instead a full belly laugh that has him wiping away tears from his eyes by the time he's done

He doesn't even get the chance to fully answer you before Edge barges in to drag you back to your sparring session, resulting in another fit of cackles from Red

He'll follow you to watch your training, occasionally offering snickers and silent thumbs up when you look over to him while being worked to death by his brother

When you're finally done (and utterly exhausted despite the monster candies and healing salves that you'd been given), Red will probably end up asking you why in the world you thought agreeing to this was a bad idea

"Soooo... Hypothetically, if we happened to have an entire family of ducklings living in our bathtub because they got separated from their mom, what would you do?"

He had been just about to go into the bathroom when you'd stopped him, and it was less than a second after you were done asking that his eyes lit up

Immediately, Blue rushes into the bathroom with too much excitement to see if there really are ducklings in the bathtub, and as soon as he sees that there are, he's on a mission

Researching, calling wildlife rescues, making sure that he has anything and everything he possibly can to make sure the ducklings have the best chance of survival they possibly can until an expert comes to pick them up

"DO WE HAVE ENOUGH FOOD FOR THEM? NO, NO, NOT BREAD! THAT'S BAD, WE NEED... MEAL WORMS AND CHICK FEED!"

He takes care of them so much that by the time they finally have to leave, they're following him around like he's their mom

"In the very very hypothetical case that I accidentally set the house on fire while hanging out with Alphys and Blue again, how-?"

You don't even get a chance to ask your full question before Stretch is already up on his feet to check on the damage

This isn't the first time, and it certainly won't be the last, so it really shouldn't be a surprise to find out that he'd hidden extinguishers and fire blankets in quite literally every cabinet he could think of

After the panic is over and the damage has been assessed (thankfully it's not nearly as bad as the first time you and Alphys had attempted to cook together) he'll never stop teasing you for it

"you really did it again? maybe we should just go ahead and call over the fire department before you even start cooking."

He'll act all exasperated, but that won't stop him from offering to give you baking lessons from him

Sweets is already up on his feet and staring at you like you just told him he won the lottery. He won't waste even a minute before he rushes back to his room to grab all of the gardening books he's collected from the library, and it's a steady stream of facts and tips and every possible thing you could every think to know about it

Skull might be a little bit less involved with the actual labor of tilling the soil and adding the compost in, but he'll be more than happy to go out and get all of the seeds you and Sweets have decided to plant, so long as he has a list to look back at in case he forgets

After everything is set up and all of the seeds are planted, Sweets will be checking for sprouts almost obsessively

Just like every other sans type, he'll be so so happy to finally have someone who genuinely laughs at his jokes. Yeah, he knows that they're absolutely awful, but that doesn't stop him from making them

Every time he makes any kind of joke now, you'll notice the way he looks over to you like he's waiting to see if you laugh or not

When you eventually do, there's no wiping off the smug look from his face - or stopping him from continuing to make the worst puns you've ever heard in your life

Depending on your mood, it's pretty easy for him to pick up on when you're sad, and he'll choose those moments to pull out the best jokes he has

He can and absolutely will make you laugh until you cry just for the fun of it

Papyrus:

For as much as he likes to act as though he hates all of the puns his brother makes, there's no hiding the fact that he jokes almost as much as Sans does

His jokes are usually a bit less punny and a little more obvious in the moment, and he'll be elated every time he gets you to laugh

Hearing you laugh makes him laugh, and considering that his laugh is the most contagious thing in the world, it's normal for the two of you to end up cackling so loudly the entire house can hear you

After Papyrus sees how happy you are around him, he'll go out of his way at every chance he gets to make you snicker

Underfell:

Expect a lot, and I mean a lot of smugness from him when he gets you to laugh at every stupid joke he tells

His humor tends to be on the darker side, ranging from potty humor to poorly timed morbid jokes

Because of that, it's only that much more of a surprise when you actually laugh at one of them

From that point onward, he'll try as hard as he possibly can to see what kinds of things he can get you to cackle at

When he finally gets that belly laugh that he's been waiting for, all thanks to the worst joke yet, you'd better bet that he'll never let you live it down

Edge:

Most of Edge's jokes are complete accidents and tend to fly right over his own head

At first, it confuses him why you and Red are laughing at him, and after you explain that it isn't some kind of inside joke to make fun of him with, he may or may not give you the most withering glare when he finally realizes what he's done

It takes him a little while to get used to making the people around him happy. For someone who's so used to being feared by everyone around him, it's always a little bit strange to have someone so at ease around him

He's not exactly complaining, and might even try to do things on purpose to make you chuckle

Though it wasn't on purpose, he's made you laugh so hard you couldn't breathe before by accidentally setting the oven on fire... It's safe to say that he still isn't the best chef

Blue has always been the kind of person who loves to make everyone around him happy, so it's no surprise when you find yourself laughing and like an idiot every time you see him

He'll tell you jokes, pull little tricks, entertain you with his riddles, all while keeping up a steady stream of snickers from your lips

Lightening the mood is just something he's always been a natural at and that's not going to change just because he's with his partner

Even though he's somehow one of the most lazy skeles out there, Stretch is always in a good mood when he's around you

Because of that, he tends to crack jokes more often than not before looking over to you with that sleepy grin that he has in order to see your reactions

He will think that your laughter is one of the best things in the world, no matter how quiet or loud you might be about it

You have one of those quiet wheezy laughs? he'll adore it like it's the most precious thing he's ever heard

And if you have a loud and boisterous laugh? you'd better bet that he's there laughing along with you, because how could he not when it's so contagious?

Please be patient with him... Edge isn't exactly someone who's accustomed to physical touch being seen as a positive thing

In his underground, the most "affection" given out was typically some kind of fight or something similar as to avoid being seen as weak

But as soon as you're able to convince him that touch doesn't have to be violent, that it doesn't make him weak for accepting and giving it, he makes it his number one goal to give you every bit of affection you want

You want to hold hands? He'll do it. You want to cuddle with him? He'll scoop you up and carry you around with him as he goes about his day, because we all know he isn't the type to sit still for long

While he may be a tad bit reluctant to do anything in public (again, everything in the underground taught him it was a good way to make both of you seem like an easy target) he'll still try to slowly warm up to the idea of holding your hand while out on your daily errands

Red:

Just like every other monster who was raised in the underground, Red is reasonably wary about touch

He's easier to convince than his brother, and as soon as it clicks in his mind that it means he gets to be close to you, he's never going to leave you be

It isn't uncommon for him to hug you from behind while you're going about your day, whether it be chores or otherwise, and you can feel the way he sags against you

Most people wouldn't expect skeletons to weigh all that much, but oh boy is he heavy when he does that. It's usually enough to make you have to stop what you're doing to pry him off of you

Red will usually snag you by the wrist or something to pull you onto the couch while he's lazing about for cuddles - even if he says he's doing it for you more than for him

Out of all of the boys on this list, he's the most smug when it comes to PDA and will show you off to anyone he can

Blue:

This poor skeleton never, and I mean never, sits down for more than a few minutes at a time during the day, so good luck convincing him to stay for cuddles

That said, he is all for giving you the affection you're clearly starved for. It doesn't matter if he's busy or if you're both out and about doing things together

He's the type to give you little skeleton kisses all throughout the day, any time and any place

As for you following him around like a lost puppy, Blue would probably think it's the most endearing thing in the world

Even if he's doing things for the royal guard after the monsters have been freed from the underground, he'll always find a way to involve you somehow so you don't feel so awkward just kinda... standing about

After all, the more time he gets to spend with you, the better

Stretch:

Oh boy are you in for a ride, because he's in the exact same boat

While he might be a little too lazy to actually follow you around everywhere you go, he's one of the most affectionate skeles yet

He likes to drag you to the most random places for the two of you to cuddle and nap at, it doesn't matter where

More often than not, he'll be touching you in some way - whether it be by holding hands, linking arms, or even one of his hands on your knee while the two of you sit together

Stretch can and will throw himself on top of you to cuddle if he ever sees you laying down on the couch or bed on the rare chance that he isn't there first

Skull:

Don't get me wrong, Skull is another one of the skeles who would be thrilled to give you all of the affection you could ever wish for and more

It's just that he's afraid of hurting you in some way. He's always seen humans as fragile, no matter how true or not that might be, and ever since his head was messed up, he has a hard time gauging just how much strength he's using

It's because of that that he'd most likely have you be the one to initiate cuddling or affection. He'll say that he doesn't care when or why, and if he isn't up to it at any time, he'll let you know

It takes him a long while to trust himself to ever initiate anything without the fear of accidentally breaking you, but when he does, you'd better bet he's hooked for life

As for you following him around while he goes about his day, he might be a little bit worried that something he's doing is making you anxious, and that will make him anxious in turn

He'll more than likely turn around to look at you every few minutes to check in and make sure that everything is okay

Sweets:

Like most of other monsters who managed to survive the famine, Sweets's body is kind of twisted. He knows that he tends to tower over basically every human he's met, he knows that his bones are just a little bit more pointy than they once used to be, and he's afraid of hurting you just like Skull is

Of course, that doesn't change the fact that he would do anything and everything to keep you happy

He'll get used to just... scooping you up and carrying you around with him. It doesn't matter if he's in the middle of doing something like gardening or cooking, though it isn't uncommon for him to set you down on the counter or something similar so he can have both of his hands free

Even if he has a hard time sitting still or relaxing, it's easy to calm both of you down when he lets you sit in his lap while he plays with your hair/gives you a scalp massage

He might even joke about getting a wig, saying that he's always wanted hair

He knew that humans' knuckles could crack, but he had no idea that necks could pop the same way

When he first hears you pop your neck he's going to freeze up and think you broke it

Once he sees that you're fine and okay, and after he's gotten onto you for scaring him, he's going to demand that you explain to him why your neck does that

It'll likely gross him out once he learns about it, and he'll likely get onto you for doing it when you tell him it's bad for your neck

He doesn't care if it feels nice, it's hurting you and he doesn't like that

Killer:

He's around enough weird people (humans included) while out and about in the multiverse, so he really wouldn't think much of it

You're hanging out with him doing who knows what and suddenly crack your neck with the loudest pop yet? The most he'll do is raise his browbones and give you a minor look of concern before going right back to what he was doing before

What he will want to do though is terrorize the others who it does gross out

Killer will drag you around to anyone and everyone bragging about the "trick" that you can do, and as soon as you have their attention, he'll gesture for you to pop your neck and watch the look of utter disgust on the poor soul he's targeted this time

It's only when he looks into it a little more and learns that it is, in fact, bad for humans' joints for you to do that that he'll reluctantly stop going out of his way to get you to gross people out

Skull:

For a long while after he hears it, he'll probably just... stare at you while trying to remember if this is normal for humans or not

After he's given you a heart attack by making you think you've broken him, and after you'd given him a very panicked explanation, he'll silently open up a new note on his phone to write down that it's a thing that you can do

He may or may not have thought that you accidentally broke yourself after hearing it for the first time

Now, if you do decide to tell him that cracking your neck isn't necessarily good for you, he'll be quick to try to stop you from doing it ever again

Even if it feels good to pop it, he knows that any kind of injury in the general head region is bad. For his and your sake, Skull will find any way possible to get you to not do that

Nightmare:

While Nightmare may have been around for long enough to know that humans can just kinda... do that, it doesn't mean it grosses him out any less

It's one of the few ways to get under his metaphorical skin, so if you ever feel like very quickly changing the topic away from something or getting him to stop hyperfocusing on one thing, that's the way

He may or may not try to grab you and stop you the second he realizes what you're trying to do, though

He would 100% be a victim of Killer's prank, and would absolutely hold a week long grudge on both of you

Error:

Disgusted is the understatement of the century for how he feels when he first watches you pop your neck

You'll notice that he's more glitchy and jumpy than usual when you do it (that's what happens when you're with a skeleton who's grossed out by the normal functions of a human) and after a while he just... crashes

The two of you could be in the middle of a normal conversation when all of the sudden he hears that disgusting crack, and you'd better believe he screeches

When in doubt, yelling about how grossed out he is will be his go-to - at least when he isn't in the middle of rebooting

He'll hold more of a grudge than anyone else depending on how often you do it on purpose, so if you want to stay on his good side, it's probably smart to avoid popping your neck around him
