We been neighbours for 12 years but this is our first Parkrun side by side. . After last weeks #ealinghalfmarathon exploits I was content plodding along in my own world until Jedidiah rolled up beside me. He kept pushing me till the finish. . First competitive half-marathon this year (I.e. Running with other people) but ever-so-slightly disappointed at time of 1:46. Was aiming for 1:40 but just couldn't keep up with the pacer. The 3 or 4 'hills' were a novel challenge for a runner used to flat East London but I gave as good as I could and went hard from the start. However my legs just couldn't keep up with the pace my brain wanted in the last 3 miles which always seem to go so slowly! #running #ealinghalfmarathon #exercise #fitness #fitfam (at Ealing Half Marathon CIC)

Kit packed, proper gels bought and ready, tracker attached, carb load currently in the oven, and race number attached to the shirt I earned in the last half marathon I ran way back in 2010.
