Ready To Run (2000) western outfits appreciation post.
Once upon a time, a very young Jason Dohring was in a Disney movie called “Ready to Run” about a girl and her talking racehorse and I just feel like I need to make an appreciation post about the awesomeness of the western outfits JD wears in this movie...
First we have the Cowboy DJ jacket. Note that there is a guitar embroidered on the sleeve for extra awesomeness points. I give this a solid 10/10.
Next we have the full musical notes jockey outfit in silk. They are even on the hat, lest we not get that the character is really into his music. Slightly distracting during a race, I give this a 6/10.
Here we have the two-tone brown on brown western shirt with silver embroidery paired with a beige cowboy hat. This is a classic everyday cowboy look and I give it an 15/10 just because my husband may or may not have had a similar shirt once upon a time.
FRINGE! AND EMBROIDERED GUITARS! This tops the scale at 20/10 completely throwing all the competition out of the running.
We are back to the everyday cowboy look with a delicate embroidered pattern on the shirt that continues onto the collar. A subtle but lovely touch but nothing out of the ordinary so it receives a 5/10.
