The sweet and savory flavors in these Easy Korean Short Ribs go well together. Strong flavors of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger are mixed into the beef in the marinade. Grilling gives it a smoky char. This is perfect for a quick and tasty BBQ!
Ingredients: 3 lbs beef short ribs, flanken cut. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons rice vinegar. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon ginger, grated. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 2 green onions, chopped. 1 teaspoon sesame seeds. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional.
Instructions: Mix rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, black pepper, red pepper flakes if using, chopped green onions, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Put the short ribs in a large plastic bag that can be closed again or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs. Make sure the ribs are well covered, then close the bag or dish and store it away. Put it in the fridge for at least two hours, or overnight for the best taste. Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Take the ribs out of the marinade and let the extra run off. The short ribs should be grilled for 5 to 7 minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. For extra flavor, baste the food with more marinade while it's cooking. After taking the ribs off the grill, let them rest for a few minutes. If you want, you can top the Easy Korean Short Ribs with extra green onions and sesame seeds before serving them hot.
