I’m genuinely obsessed with the way you draw Jay with his snake features, especially rouge
Have some Jay then (+ Ed and Edna because I love them lots)
I like all the instances of Jay giving someone a little wink as a means to show support
Wouldn't be surprised if it's something he picked up from his dad
Jay genuinely loves his parents so much.
He is annoyed when they arrive out of nowhere. But he leads them around the Bounty and proudly displays all of his inventions anyway.
Jay is embarrassed by their stories. But he takes the time to ask if their headlights work so they can get home safe.
Jay is ashamed to have been raised in a junkyard. But he is the first one running through those gates when he realizes something is wrong.
I just think it's a huge credit to the writers. It is okay to simultaneously be annoyed with your parents and still love them. And the Walkers do an incredible job of showing this.
"swearing is a sign of weak verbal skills" is definitely a quote from either ed or edna to get jay to stop swearing so much.
ed is Indian. I made this choice for a few reasons:
I will never not think it’s funny when people make Jay not look anything like Ed and Edna and not have him figure it out (lovely midwestern woman who makes casseroles for the homeless and her Indian husband who’s the only reason this small town has electricity give birth to Filipino-Japanese baby real? More at six)
vibes
the only thing Jay “burns down the kitchen every time he tries to cook” walker can make being ridiculously complicated curry dishes is also really funny
the whole Mudshocks polycule getting henna designs based on their elements
administration Jay eating the roti ration the administration handed out for “diversity week” and suddenly he’s crying for some reason
rouge’s bounty hunter outfit having cool Indian inspired motifs
the djinn having a general Indian theme around them an so on top of the already traumatic events of skybound Jay is also surrounded by a twisted perversion of the culture he holds so dear
whoa wait what was that last one-

i have so many things i want to say about this but can’t find a way to put them into comprehensible words without sounding dry </3
I NEED jays parents to show up or at least mentioned in part 2 or season 5!
“I don’t want Jay to get his memories back!!” “I want Jay to quickly get his memories back already!!” Literally WHATEVER
Because I am more concerned over the fact that throughout Jay’s amnesia arc, Ed and Edna haven’t even been mentioned once. No scene of one of the ninja taking Jay to somewhere private and telling him about his parents. No bringing them over to try see if they could bring Jay’s memories back, or at least make him trust them and what they’re all saying. No “Our son has forgotten who we are…” moment. NOTHING.
WHERE IS ED AND EDNA. THEY ARE LITERALLY HIS PARENTS. WHERE AREEEEE THEYYYYY?????
