Egg Fluffy from Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan (Requested)

@hungryleow came over to play with her electric egg beater, so we made this for lunch! The texture was interesting at first, but because we made too much, it felt like we were eating air towards the end. Perhaps it might have been better if we ate it with rice or noodles, and halved the recipe, because the egginess was getting overwhelming.
So… get at least 4 people to share this recipe with you, unless you have just gone through a wisdom teeth extraction surgery like me and can’t eat anything solid for the next 2 weeks. Mangacaps are from mangafox.
Ingredients
4 eggs, separated into yolks and whites
2 cups dashi. (I cheated and used premade ones. Feel free to mix bonito and kelp.)
Salt and pepper to taste Spring onion, for garnish.
Method
Set dashi to boil in a big claypot. (I cheated and used instant dashi.)
Take out half of the dashi and beat with the egg yolks. Season with salt and pepper
Whisk the egg whites in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
Slowly fold in the egg whites into the egg yolk. It should still retain some structure.
Meanwhile, bring the remaining dashi in the claypot to a boil.
Pour the egg mixture into the dashi, and immediately cover the claypot and turn the fire off. If you leave the fire on like I did because I didn't re-read the chapter beforehand it will boil over.
Let the latent heat cook it for about 10 mins, and enjoy!
Note 1: The egg mixture should not go higher than the rim of the pot.
Note 2: Feel free to split it between a few pots if there's just too much egg mixture.
Note 3: Feel free to halve my recipe.
Note 4: We still prefer the eggs in Oyakodon and Katsudon and Hamburger Steaks.
Note 5: But this is better than eating Egg Sandwiches with Jam.
