To commemorate the 28th birthday of Tamagotchi, Bandai has partnered up with the folks over at Shikin Hanten Harakado, a restaurant in Japan with a delicious campaign. If you visit this restaurant, and you order egg fried rice, your food will be served in a Tamagotchi collaboration bowl and paper plate! This is limited time campaign that will run from Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 through Thursday, November 28th, 2024!

You can take the collaboration paper plate home with you, but the bowl you cannot keep!

A delicious and easy way to make use of leftover rice is with this recipe for Easy Egg Fried Rice, which makes a filling meal. The soy sauce and sesame oil give it a rich flavor, and you can alter it with other ingredients of your choice.

Ingredients: 2 cups cooked rice, cold and preferably day-old. 2 large eggs. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots mix. 1/4 cup diced onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 3 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 teaspoon sesame oil. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Green onions, chopped, for garnish optional.

Instructions: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add diced onion, minced garlic, and the frozen peas and carrots mix. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables start to soften. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the empty side, and crack the eggs into it. Scramble the eggs in the skillet until they are fully cooked and then mix them with the vegetables. Add the cold cooked rice to the skillet, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes to heat the rice thoroughly. Pour soy sauce and sesame oil over the rice and stir to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the rice is well-coated and heated through. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Easy Egg Fried Rice!
