I really appreciate all the thoughts you share here. Your thoughts on workaholism and trauma have been especially impactful for me. For whatever reason it reaches me in a way that people talking to me out loud just can’t. Maybe I just need the written word - but the way you describe and explain things is so helpful. I like the way you think!
Hi anon,
Tbh, if you ever do anything like masking around other people (and I'm going to make an educated guess that if you like my writing and my thoughts on this stuff you might not be neurotypical /high fives/ ), it's actually a lot harder to process things on a deeper and more self-reflective level because a lot of your energy is knowingly and unknowingly going towards like, surviving real life social encounters, and seeming 'normal' and 'polite' and 'genial' etc.
In those cases, and I'm sure in many others too, it becomes a lot easier for folks like myself and like many of us, to process deeper subjects via the written word. This can be true for online friends and online chatting too! My deepest conversations happen most often in written format. I have time to think over what I'm reading. I don't have to think about my body language or facial expressions. Even if I'm masking, it's in a less energy-demanding mode.
I think that's also why, for at least some of us, or for some folks, the way I write things is maybe a bit more relatable, it could be that we're going through some similar experiences, or it could be that I'm writing in a way that is easier for certain kinds of mind to process than others! Or it could be something else entirely :D
Either way, I'm glad the writing resonates, and I hope you're taking care! Overworking is tough, both the things that drive us to it, and sometimes how painful it is to extricate ourselves from it (if we even can!)
trying my hand at writing a propmt
Demon Twins AU where Danyal DOES die, and is sent to the zone. He happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when the Fenton Portal opens, and winds up being entangled with Danny during the explosion.
When Danny exits the portal, his body is different, everything hurts, and suddenly there's a rush of memories that he knows aren't his.
So then it's Danny Phantom, except he has the memories of a childhood inside an assassin cult to deal with, and a tugging in his core telling him to find the twin that he doesn't really have.
The sudden and overwhelming urge I have to record tonight's episode and my reaction to it just in the off chance bisexual history is made tonight.
Wait what does this mean,,, I thought that's his actual charter skin,,,,
Woke up thinking about nensai, anyway Kusuo always gets so sleepy at Nendo’s house because it’s just so HIM. Being around Nendo means that he doesn’t have to do anything, any favors, to earn affection or love because Nendo loves him regardless of anything he does. And because love equals safety his eyes keep slipping closed, and when they finally do so for the last time, Nendo picks him up and carries him to bed, laughing the whole time about how tiny his favorite partner is
missing oc roleplaying but then remembering The Horrors so i decide against it
(the horrors, as in: horrible roleplaying partners, bad communication, roleplay dying early, lack of motivation to write, quick loss of interest, DID I MENTION HORRIBLE ROLEPLAYING PARTNERS ☹️)
