Mass Effect: Andromeda - That time where Sara Ryder became an adopted mom to a Fiend 🤔🤣😉

This is the Elaaden mission where you're supposed to "tame" a Fiend by setting a smoke lure. It draws a Fiend and you fight it but instead of it dying, it's supposed to sit down by the smoke and ignore you after that. This Fiend, though, really wanted some Pathfinder skritchies and cuddles and followed Sara all of the way back to the NOMAD.

And then... Okay, please imagine the hysterical laughter I gave at the NOMAD part. You've got to see that for yourself, lol!

Sorry, as usual, for the lack of nice editing. This is the raw footage since I still have no Vegas to work with. I initially just wanted to capture how the Fiend was weirdly following Sara around and then it became one of my favorite moments so far in my over 600 hours in this game! 😍🤣

I seriously wish Sara could've kept her Fiend pal and brought him back to the Tempest to hang out in her quarters with her hamster and Pyjak, lol!

I love Vetra at the end of that clip, commenting about the crazy rock formations as if we hadn't just had a FIEND sitting on top of the NOMAD, lol! 🤣🤣🤣

CONFESSION:

Bought the game during the lock down and regret listening to the haters. Its definitely not perfect but most of the characters are just as great as the Trilogy crew. I really fell in love with Vetra. And I absolutely loved the Nomad. And I ended up writing some fluffy fan fiction of my Ryder and Vetra really enjoying riding the dunes on Elaaden. And Vetra was the only crew member allowed to drive the Nomad. I'm to afraid to share my Ryder but I'm including a screenshot that inspired the fan fic I I wrote.

The Discord pointed out something:

From an angaran perspective, krogan are probably the *least* scary of the Milky Way aliens.

Humans have *Sloane*, and a lot of her sidekicks. Watch out for those furry things - they want your land!

Turians, asari and salarians are all making trouble on Kadara and elsewhere on a regular basis. It doesn’t help that turians look vaguely like kett, or that asari have weird powers and that it’s easy to misunderstand their reproduction as “they’re after your DNA”.

Meanwhile the giant indestructible lizard monsters found a planet no one else wanted, built a colony there, and have just been squatting there causing no trouble. There’s a few of them being colonialist on Kadara, but they’re clearly not the main problem.

Krogan: not the concerning ones, this time!

One of the things I can't get enough of in Mass Effect Andromeda are the worldbuilding details, especially those that give you the feeling that people really do want things to be different in this new galaxy. Case in point, I love all the digital PSAs that the krogan have scattered about in their colony in Elaaden to teach young krogan about healthy relationships!

Plus, one of them also has a pun about "Vega Bull Jr." being an excellent actor.

When you’re wandering Elaaden doing missions and you find the perfect spot for your in-fic Drell Colony a la the old Flophouse area midmap.

This game is freaking gorgeous, fight me - I can actually appreciate it now with a tower that can run it on Ultra.
